This morning all the rest of the dead skin came off when I cleansed my lips with the aftercare wipes I was given at the clinic. The dryness has gone away and the colour has gotten lighter again. I don't know if this is the final colour or not. Also I don't know if my lips will go through a second round of peeling as I have read some people's lips have.
My lips don't feel fully normal yet, they feel slightly numb to touch. But I love the colour! It takes some getting used to and it's definitely stronger than I expected! The pictures I have seen of other people have had a much more subtle result. In a way I'm happy that my result seems to be more noticable. I feel like I got my money's worth and it also means it will last longer. The shade is exactly what I wanted, a soft pink shade that is more coral than purple.
Oh, and I can smile now :) It feels slightly tight still but not painful

Day 3 post-op / peeling lips

Quick update - my lips are now peeling and shedding a lot. The peeling started from the inside. The border seems to peel last. I can't wait to see what my lips look under all the dead skin! Also I can't wait for my lips to stop being so dry and tight. I can’t comfortably smile yet because I feel like the skin so tight.

Got my lips blushing done and a huge gob of skin and pigment peeled off, on day 3 and I was so worried! Glad to know it wasn't just me! My lips started peeling from the inside first as well, borders last.

Day 2 post-op / feeling more confident

It's been 2 days! I have been out and about today, even without my mask. Feeling a lot better about my lips now. Yesterday I felt like I looked ridiculous and clownish but today I just look like I have lipstick on (with very chapped lips lol). Not a look I'm used to but it doesn't look scary anymore.
The lips are very dry and wrinkly still. Some little pieces are starting to fall off. The colour keeps changing. At first it was bright red, then yesterday like a mauve purpleish pink, then today they are looking lighter and more orange.
