Lip Blush
During lip outline
During lip tattoo
I wanted more pink lips or the type of tint cherry chapstick gives all the time. So I decided to try lip blush which is a semi permanent lip tattoo that can last between 2-3 years. When I got to the studio my artist takes to me about what color I wanted then I laid on the table. She spent 30 minutes - 1 hour with a white skin marker outlining my lips and where she was gonna tattoo. Then she numbed my lips with lidocaine. Felt a bit funny with numb lips. She put gauze in my mouth to help stretch my lips, add cushion and absorb ink. Then she started with the tattoo gun after showing me the needle was new and clean. It hurt 3 out of 10 on the pain scale the first and pass. I focused on the music planning and thought about food. Then she numbed my lips a second time and it actually didn't hurt at all the next 2 passes with the tattoo gun over my whole lips. Then she numbed me one last time because it started to wear off. Didn't feel the last pass or the touch ups she did even though my mouth had swollen up a bit. It took 3.5 hours. After she was done she took pictures of it. I paid $200, put on aquaphor and left to go eat mexican.
About a week later as it's healing I did develop a cold sore but putting blistex lip balm on it helped heal it. Overall, I'm glad I did it and felt it was worth it.
