Restalyn Dermal Filler .5ml
So it’s 2020 and I’m back for more lips. I believe it’s been a year since my last filled. I got it done at a place in Tennessee and I got Juvederm again. I loved it but I only got .5 syringe and it was just not enough. I said I would get a full syringe the next time but I chickened out this time again. I felt since I’ve already been getting fillers, I didn’t need a whole one, welp, I was wrong.
So I booked for Dr Kronberg again. Booking was simple. I called for juverderm again since it’s the one I researched and had been getting since the first time. Got to the office. Nurse assistant (or whoever she was) numbed me up with lidocaine. I told her I wanted to do the half syringe of juvederm again. Dr Kronberg came in with her wonderful personality and made me feel welcome. I explained to her I had just gotten braces and I needed lips to contrast the shock effect and I wanted half of a syringe of juvederm.
She stated she doesn’t sell half a syringe of juvederm and haven’t for 10 years. I explained this is what I got the first time I came to her and I know because I researched it. She further disagreed with me and said she doesn’t sell the half syringe and didn’t for 10 years because it’s expensive . So I was just like hmmm.. this rubbed me the wrong way because I know what I got.
She further said restalyn is the product she has for half a syringe and it gives a fuller pouty look. So I just took her word on it. I tried Ted her word because I had good results years ago.
The process went smooth: numbing, injection, ice. This time I bruised pretty badly. Don’t know why. But the results of the restalyn seemed pretty mild compared to the juvederm. I liked my lips immediately after, but they went all the way down.
After ice for a couple min, I went to pay $450 and I left. I was still feeling uneasy in my head because I knew I got juvederm before and wondered why she would say she haven’t sold it in 10 years. Smh so I called back in the office to make sure. I had the receptionist to check my chart and sure enough, it was juvederm. This made me upset.
Along with my lips not really being a difference (could be my fault with the half syringe) I was just over it when I found out she said this and it was a false statement. We as patients need to trust doctors and this was not cool. I would been ok if she said she doesn’t sell it anymore but to say “no I haven’t sold that in 10 years,” just makes me feel like she thinks I don’t know what I’m talking about.
So at the end, I received no follow up tips, aftercare instructions ect.
This appointment didn’t leave me in awe. I need more lips but I’m not sure if I will return here again.
