Loving the results of my lip lift. The incision is still healing and looks red and ragged. It will occasionally get a crusty area but I just keep it covered with Silicone gel scar treatment and mask wearing helps hide it.
I’m still a little swollen from my buccal fat removal and am hoping after three months when all the swelling is gone my jawline will even better. Overall happy with this procedure as well. I’ve still got some jowling, which I’ve circled in red in a photo. I may need to do threads or a lower face lift to improve this area.

Day 5
The swelling is going down significantly everywhere. I'd say my lips are almost back to normal. My lower face from the buccal fat removal is still swollen and the bruising is showing pretty significantly.
The lip lift incision is no longer painful, mostly just stiff and tight. It's hard to laugh cause my cheeks are still swollen and my lips are tight. So no comedies for me on this week of recovery.
I am having one spot on my inner bottom lip corner that Dr Saxons office said is normal, its just skin over the stitch. I've included a photo of that spot cause I was concerned and sent it to their office today.
I went without my compression garment for a few hours today and ran some errands and did way more talking than I have done all week since the surgery. I must say I was sore and uncomfortable by the late afternoon and had to take some ibuprofen and put my compression garment back on. It relives some of the pressure to have the head wrap on. I've included some pics from today in the car. You can see the bruising on my lower face pretty well.

4 days post op
Lips:
My lips are still swollen and bruised and the lip lift incision is sore and tight. It has become more red today and actually more noticeable than it was at first. I know this is part of healing and have my follow in a couple days to remove the stitches.
When you try to use your upper lip, like to close your mouth or rub your lips together it hurts along the incision. The incision stings sometimes and gives you zingers. The most discomfort is smiling or trying to bring your top lip down toward to lower. So my mouth mostly sits open still but I eat a bit comfortably and am having more solid foods now. I'm not taking pain killers or icing at this point except right before bed. I will take a couple of ibuprofen at night before bed and ice before bed as they seem to be the most swollen and sensitive at night.
Dermal graft:
My lips are lumpy and I can feel the sutures on one corner of my bottom lip. Its the only spot that seems to be having some trouble healing, otherwise my lips are pain free and just bruised. It's the lip lift that is by far the most uncomfortable, not the graft.
Buccal Fat Removal:
My cheeks have bruising along the lower part of my face as you can see from my photos. I'm prone to bruising so this is not always typical. The swelling is mostly in the jowl area and Dr Saxon this is normal as swelling and bruising migrate downwards. I am still wearing my compression garment almost 24/7 as Dr Saxon said its imperative the first 72 hours and then as much as possible for a week (but required at night). Other than hurting my ears the compression garment feels soothing and helps you feel protected as your face feels quite vulnerable. I am still sleeping elevated
