Lip Injections
Initially, I decided to get lip fillers to sort of “balance out” my features. I didn’t like my larger nose, and I figured that fuller lips would take a bit of the attention away. And I think I was right- I still don’t like my nose, and I’ve finally planned to go through with a rhinoplasty, however I get SO many compliments now on my lips- whereas before it was something that people wouldn’t even notice or comment on.
My experience with lip injections has always been stellar. I go to Gen at Beauty Rewind exclusively, and she’s just so fantastic at what she does. She’s very kind and good at keeping a conversation without it seeming forced or awkward- which, as someone who can be a little more quiet or introverted at times, makes the process a lot more comfortable.
The only con I can see is the slight initial swelling and bruising, but the effects- at least in my opinion- are well with it.
I find that my filler tends to last around 6 months before sort of starting to dissipate, so I try to top up with a half syringe around that time frame.
There was a time when I thought that I’d only get fillers until I have my rhinoplasty done- I mean, if the point is to “balance my features” and my nose is no longer a concern, then why keep getting it done? But for now, I honestly can’t imagine just letting my lips go back to their original state. Maybe some day, but I’ve just grown too attached!
