Steri strips are off!!

erinsarah419
$7,710
So I went to my PS this past Friday and he removed all my steri strips that were covering my scars. It really stung a bit when they were removed. I think I had formed scars and when he removed the steri strips from my nipples, and my anchor incisions, they all just came off with the sticker.
THAT FELT AWESOME. Just kidding it sucked hard.
So my right breast is doing FANTASTICALLY! Lefty on the other hand, not so much. My nipple is bleeding and just being a P.I.T.A and not healing. I have been putting non-stop neosporin on it and non-stick sterile pads I bought at CVS. They are a life saver. Usually before getting dressed now and before going to bed I lube up my nipples with bacitracin and put the non-sticky pads on them so they don't rub on my bra and also so I don't get bacitracin on my bra either.

PAIN- As for pain, its okay. I work in NYC and have been taking the bus in instead of the subway so I don't have to walk as much or be jostled around either. I still have to walk slow because if I walk fast I feel like I bounce too much and my nipples start rubbing on my bra and my boobs bounce just a tad and it pulls on my bottom scars.
I have to only wear front-close sports bras now. Get this- I went to walmart today to look for some and I found a sports bra(that fit!!) for $5.97 (HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE), a hanes front close bra for $8, and a different one for $10. all size small and medium. I should probably just get all mediums but I want them to be really tight so I just got a small.

neverhaveIever bought a sports bra in my life for under $35. One that actually works.

I'm adding 2 pictures of myself- one from day#6 and one from yesterday, which would be day #11!
My doc said I have lots of swelling that will go down over time which is FANTASTIC because I really didn't realize how much swelling I actually had and I Was getting a little upset that I wasn't small enough and he didn't take out enough. But I am used to them now and know they'll go down even more.

I will update in a couple days again. I go for another checkup with the doctor on Friday. I think then I can start putting on scar cream.

We had surgery the same day, and I was a 32DDD. Thanks for making me laugh too. It's so rare to see someone funny on this site! How's your neck and back pain now? Mine is definitely much better, but it's going to take a long while for my neck and shoulders to realize they don't have to haul boulders any more. Working with my physical therapist, but I definitely feel better than I did.

My neck and back pain is a little better. Have you tried putting on a regular bra yet in the store? What size are you now?? You look like the perfect size.. I wish i was a little smaller but maybe I still have some swelling and I will go down a little more. BTW you look great! I just checked out your pics! Also- how are your nipples?? My nipples are SUPER hyper sensitive- they are very itchy and i can't even touch my nipple without it going into a crazy itch. it's pretty constant so at work I try to just sit here and not move! haha

I'm wearing an underwire-free bra, and it's a 34C, but it's loose in the band and a bit too small in the cup. That's Victoria's Secret sizing, though--they always size up, so I'm guessing I really am a 32C. My nipples are so numb, but so is the lower half of each breast. Really wish they'd come back online like they were a couple of weeks ago.

I AM BACK! and doing alright

Sorry for the lack of update! If you have been following my review you saw that I had a 103/104 temperature immediately after my surgery. My surgeon recommended I go to the ER on Thursday. I ended up having a 104 fever for 2 days and being admitted to the hospital and tested for everything under the sun. It turns out they never found out what was wrong! They did say that it was unrelated to my surgery because it happened just hours after it. If it was surgery/infection related then it would have taken about 48 hours for a fever to appear. Turns out I just happened to get really sick coincidentally the same day of my surgery.
After getting out of the hospital I felt sick for about 3 days with a fever- then felt better. It's really strange because I never get fevers like that- and I had no other symptoms.
WHO KNOWS!

ANYWAY- i have pictures to update! One pic from day #6 and one from day #11. I'll put them in a separate update coming up..

Holy pain!

erinsarah419
I actually wrote this whole review on my phone then it got deleted... and I really don't want to write it again but I'll sum it up. I am in pain and have a 101.8 fever. My left nipple is really burning. I took some percoset for pain but I don't think it really did much. I have drains in right now bu as you can see, my gross boobie juice isn't making it to the drain bag.. it's just stick in the tube. So I dunno.
I just realized I don't own very many baggy shirts... so I'm in my "cats are so in right meow" forever21 sleep shirt... and I'll probably be in it until I go to the doc on Friday. Funtimes. And you can't even go out of the house because bloody drain bags are blood. Nobody wants to see that!

Who is your doctor? I'm in Ocean County, NJ and grew up in Union County. I am in search of a good doctor

Also, did insurance pay (I have constant knots, and PT suggested to get regular massages to reduce the pain and rotated disc in my neck
May 31, 2015
I used Dr. Alkon in Linden. No Ins didn't pay. IF they paid then the amount they would require to remove from each breast would put me at a small B cup, which I didn't want.

With my drains, they instructed to "milk" the tubes to get blockage out. Basically, Start high up and pinch while sliding down the tube (like you would a freeze pop). Would that help? Rest, rest , rest. You look so small!

Thamk you
