Had a consult with Dr. Alkon in January. The reason i forked over my 110.00 was because of his great reviews. After being weighed, he came in. He was very short and fast with me. Quickly went through the procedure and then said quote, "Not that i don't want to do your surgery but, you need to loose weight". He said 15-20 pds. He kept asking if i "could do that". I said yes. I thought at 5'6 and 180 pds, i was an ideal candidate. He then said i would be dissatified and some of his patients needed to loose weight and didn't and they were unhappy with their results. He also said i had a hernia. I was puzzled. I thought that if i had a hernia, i would feel it. I saw my pcp and she said no way did i have one. I was very unhappy and discouraged with my consult. It was a waste of money. Saw another surgeon in feb, nyc. Gladly forked over my 1,000.00 deposit to hold my reservation. Had a great consult. My surgery is scheduled for April 4th. Mabye Dr. Alkon was having a bad day when i saw him.

Dr. Daniel Delvecchio. He's like one of the celebrity doctors in nyc. Dr. D said he will put 2000 cc's in each cheek and give me a shelf (smiles). He said i will be very pleased with my results.
When i say celebrity, i mean he does great work, everyone knows him. His instagram page is a great way of seeing his amazing work.

I had a very similar experience with Dr Alkon. I waited over 90 minutes to see him and he spent exactly for minutes with me. I went for a BBL consult and he told me to “save my money” because I didn’t have enough fat to work with. Mind you... he never took off my gown and just looked at my abdominal area. Never my back, arms or thighs. it just felt like a production line. I found Dr Carlos Burnett in Westfield and he was a totally different experience. he took the time to ask what my expectations were and all I wanted was something very normal looking, like I had a yoga but. Dr. Burnett said what I wanted was very achievable and I booked my surgery with him. Needless to say I am over the moon happy with my results. It was almost as if when Dr. Alcon dismissed me, it was a blessing in disguise
Hi cutyonduty. Two yrs ago his bbl's were 7,500. I see on his website he increased the price by almost 1,000.00 so now his bbl is 8,430. Good luck in your bbl journey. May you be happy w/your results and a speedy recovery.

Wow. I did hear u get better results when u exercise. Out of the 3 surgeons I saw, 2 said I had a hernia . My PCP also confirmed that as well. Not all surgeons catch it. He probably was having a bad day. Glad u mad another choice. I'll be following your journey
Hey kaybee4. Yeah I'm very glad I chose another PS. Although i wasn't amazed at his surgery pics, i consulted with him more for his good reputation. Not looking back at it, that was not a good thing to do. I will be posting my before and after pics once i have the surgery. I will download them all then. Thanks for your response.

thats interesting( you having to lose weight) because on is IG for your height your max weight for your height is 198!…well good luck!!
Not sure where he was coming from. Dr. Delvecchio told me my weight was fine. Every doctor has a different answer. Dr. Alkon should know that women love looking good and are excited when we have our consultation. I wouldn't recommend him to any of my friends.
Whatever happens is usually happens for the best. In your case it lead you to look and find Dr D whose results in my eyes are just amazing!
Yes. I think dr.d is one of the best in nyc. I thought of the doctors in D.R but i didn't want to be away from my young son and family for a week or more. I think Dr. D puts as much cc's in the backside as he can. I like the fact that he does the full back. Many doctors stop at the bra line.
Iam kind of disappointed to hear this about him…because he was at the top of my list!! I was/am in the process of getting things "together" but to hear you he told you had to lose weight when his max weight chart on IG states something entirely different…and to add insult to injury he charges a consult fee of $110, were you at least offered half of it back…its annoying dealing with some of these drs……Iam really starting to consider going to another country….smdh
You may have a totally different experience than i. I wasn't fond of him. Try checking out Dr. Daniel Delvecchio's pics on instagram. His pics are better than Dr. Alkon's...
I've looked at Dr D's work....he's not the Dr for me....judging by his pics..I am not looking a huge booty
Oh ok. If you had a consult with him and told him that, i'm sure he would give you what you desire. I figure 2,000 cc's in each cheek for me, and by the time the swelling goes down, the booty would look the way i want it to. Yes i think his pics are better than dr. alkon's. Hope you choose the best doctor for you.
