I'm in my early 40s and have been losing hair since my early 20s. I knew I wanted to do something about it, but never seemed to find the right doc. I am located in the Kansas City, and after extensive research, and going in for a consultation at some practices near me, I realized there was only one practice offering the Artas technology. Unfortunately, a consultation with someone at that practice left much to be desired. I walked away knowing I needed a doc with more than a year of experience in hair, and a team that knew what the hell was going on in his practice.
I found JMISKO Surgical Design online, and after a consultation and meeting Justin, I knew I was on the right track. They customized their consultation and took time to understand my goals. I was pleased to learn Justin has nearly a decade of experience as a hair transplant doc, and that his team has been a part of over thousands of procedures.
We decided on a 3000 graft Artas and manual FUE. Knowing I had to travel, the team was flexible with scheduling, and helpful in finding and booking a hotel so I could drive up the night before. They also offered a variety of payment plans.
The morning of the procedure, I had another consultation with Justin and met his team. They designed my hairline, and made sure all of my questions were answered.
Once the procedure started, the experience of the nurses on his team was clear. Justin and his team seemed to move effortlessly around me, chatting with me, and keeping me comfortable.
I spent some time leaning over and then on my stomach while the grafts were taken out. The girls on the team chatted with me and I listened to music. I was able to recline and watch movies while the grafts when back in.
At the end of the day, they took time to go over my post op instructions and explain my medications with me and to review all of it with my wife.
Since my procedure, they have followed up multiple times to make sure I made it through the first week, as that is the most critical time for the new hair. It took a few days for the back to heal, and about a week for the scabs around the new hair to fall off.
I am looking forward to seeing my result, but am very pleased with my decision.
