Mine seems to be healing up okay I think I see my PS Friday so I will see what he says and my home nurse says it's looking okay

I know you had a bilateral breast reduction...... But there's different techniques the surgeons use to cut, take tissue, and sew them back together. There's the anchor, lollipop, free nipple graft, etc.

Went to plastic surgeon today as I told in pervious messages my T junction opened up doctor took some stitches out and now I have to use some type of ointment that will eat away at the dead tissue so new tissue can come and start healing process is taking forever I hope this pain is worth it

It will, I just when thru the same process I had 1 1/2 pounds taken from each breast my opening on my left breast was actually bigger .. Doctor put me on antibiotics for like almost 30 days my surgery was on 6/29/16 and i can't wear the surgical bra instead I wear sport bras because the more comfortable.. My breast feel nice they look amazing and I can finally sleep on my side or my stomach with out any pain.

How long did it take for you to heal yes I went to sports bras because the other one is just to tight when the opening is at they took 3 1/2 pounds out of each of my breast

To be honest I feel that after I stop using the surgical bra and I let them get some air after applying the neosporin it took about 1 week it started closing now I'm applying the mederma for the scar I started 3 days ago... Tomorrow I want to go back to the gym after all this time

Hi, you commented on my post, I mentioned using Santyl on the dead tissue and it looks like you are using the same thing (or something similar)! This will be worth it in the end- even if I knew I'd have complications and long healing time, I would still have done the reduction. It's so freeing! I wish you good healing - stay on top of your wound care and it will heal fabulously.

Hi there. I had my BR surgery on 6/28/16. The vertical incisions on both of my breasts opened within a week of surgery and I have been dealing with open wounds much bigger than what you're experiencing ever since. Please don't think I'm minimizing what you're dealing with because that's NOT at all what I'm trying to do. I just want you to know that this occurs more often than you may think, and while it takes awhile to heal, it does eventually close up. It can be frustrating, but hopefully you have a supportive dr that stays on top of things like mine has. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. In the meantime, focus on how much better you feel. It's a wonderful feeling!

Thank you he is a good doctor and I have a home nurse that comes out every other day but Iam just worried because I have to go back to work driving bus on August 29 Iam worried it might make it worse but I have to go back how long did it take for yours to heal

Actually still dealing with it. But like I said, mine are much bigger stretching bottom of the areoles to the breast crease and about two inches wide. No pain at all though. Dr mentioned maybe doing skin grafts in the next couple of weeks.

I'd be worried about driving the bus too. That's a lot of steering. But totally understand the position you're in.
