How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Y Lift Liquid Facelift - jawline only on 35 YO Female
Cost: $4k
Location: Vitality MedSpa in Seattle, WA (lower Queen Anne area)
Dr: Dr Tami with Nurse Jess
Procedure: Y Lift for Jawline only
Previous procedures done on the face before Y Lift:
1. Kybella to remove fat under the chin 1.5 years prior (see other review)
2. Fillers on cheekbones and lips 6 months prior
3. Botox around eyes and forehead 3 months prior
Motivations: Achieving a sleeker jawline and profile. The manipulation and jaw joint were both getting rounded down and genetically I am prone to getting jowl skin sag along the jaw line.
Preparation: consult prior to go over risk and what to expect, pay $2.5k to hold my place
On day of procedure (6 weeks after consult): Nothing special to diet or my routine but to avoid Advil since it causes bruising.
Procedure itself:
You wash your face well with their soap. Then the doctor draws on your face to achieve the desired landing spots for the filler. Then you lay all the way down and begin. Pain comes from the initial shots with Lidocaine. After that I feel more pressure and it's more disturbing to hear than to feel honestly. The stent needle to delver the filler goes under the muscle and under the connective membrane by the bone of the jaw. So you hear some weird noises. It's very important to relax your shoulder, release tension. The doctor will need to get into the perfect spot and tension can push the needle out. As the filler is injected you can feel the skin tightening up, this was pretty exciting feeling. The whole time on the table was maybe an hour or so.
Right after: I liked what I saw when I looked I to the mirror, my neck already looked longer and the skin had pulled it up and out. There are four incision holes which I am to keep covered with disinfectant gel for 24 hours. I have to stay elevated and sleep elevated to allow drainage to run down.
Managing pain after: the week area is tender and sore but Tylenol works to help. The pain is a lot less than Kybella was and so is the swelling.
