Lifestyle Type Lift In Las Vegas Not Worth It

$7,000

I actually had this procedure done 2 years ago this January. I originally had a facelift approx 20 years ago and needed a refresh and thought this was more affordable and no general anesthesia was a plus. The doctor here in Las Vegas, and his staff were top notch as far as convenience, price, and attentiveness.

However, results -- not so much. My main concern was my jowl areas, NOT my neck. He even said prior to the procedure that my neck was fine. He said I should also have a chin implant which I'm glad I declined at that time. The procedure was painless and the doctor skilled in administering local anesthesia. The follow -ups and suture removal went well.

My neck is still way too tight -- 2 years later, and my jowls are ever present. My right earlobe is now slanting downward and pulling, and my left ear in which I had a pre-auricular sinus (which he closed during surgery) had erupted in a large infection which he cared for by draining and oral antibiotics. I can still feel where the sutures are placed in my face and they pinch when sleeping on my side. He claims I should have a chin implant to mitigate my jowls and go with a LARGE chin implant. My fear would be to have the result of a large square unfeminine face. I am glad I declined. He also said the only way now to reduce my jowls would be a liposuction technique which he is not skilled to perform.

I had a consult with a board certified plastic surgeon about 8 months ago, and he claims he could reduce the size of my jowls with liposuction, since is is skilled in that delicate facial procedure. He also recommended a chin implant, but not a large one, since my goal was to slim my face. He noticed my overly tight neck and misplaced right ear. I also have numerous tiny broken capillaries on my face and neck from this procedure. The plastic surgeon wanted me to wait another year because my neck was too tight.

Here it is 2 years after the procedure and my neck is still too tight -- but my jowls are still there -- looking even worse from all the pulling that this procedure created.

If I had not had a conventional face lift almost 20 years ago, I would not have known the difference.

So, I am faced with yet another very expensive surgery after spending approx $7,000!!! I may also have to wait even longer to correct this surgery since my neck is still extremely tight.

I am in the healthcare field and have referred so many patients to him right after my surgery (thinking the outcome would be what I expected) that I lost count!

I would like to ask for my money back but I know that would be an impossibility.

Just beware of this type of facelift and realize that if you have heavy jowls, this type of lift will not correct it. You will have better and longer lasting results with a conventional facelift.

I do not want to appear to be tarnishing this particular physician's reputation and will refrain from mentioning his name here. I will private message you if you would like to know.
