7 Weeks Post-Op!
I’m officially 7 weeks post-op and am healing well! A lot of my swelling has dissipated, and my front is beginning to take on more shape. I still have a bit more to go with my swelling, but I’m so happy with how my nose and everything else is looking, and I’m so glad I chose Dr. Griffin for my surgery. I was truly a complicated revision, and I’m so grateful to Dr. Griffin for getting my nose back to normalcy. My chin implant is also perfect for my face shape and exactly what I wanted; it looks way better than my last chin implant. The liposuction has also made a big difference under my chin/my neck! I still have a little bit of swelling left under my chin, but it gets better and better every week. I really can’t recommend Dr. Griffin enough!
Life-changing Revision Rhinoplasty by Dr. Garrett Griffin
I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Griffin and his staff; Dr. Griffin gave me my life back. Dr. Griffin revised my nose, revised my chin implant, and did liposuction under my chin. This was my third rhinoplasty surgery; my first surgery was in 2012, and my second surgery was in 2019. My previous nose was left very over-projected/long, pinched, collapsed, and uneven, and I could barely breathe from my nose.Dr. Griffin did an amazing job, and my nose looks better than I ever imagined it could. Most importantly, I can breathe so well. Cadaver rib was used for my support grafts (my septum was discovered to be fractured and the septal cartilage couldn’t be used). My grafts include: One spreader graft on my left, two on my right; a septal extension graft; a shield-type cap graft; alar rim grafts; temporalis fascia in my tip due to my thin nasal skin; and lateral crural overlay to deproject/rotate my tip.My surgery time was a little over 5 hours for the nose, and 6.5 hours total including the chin implant and lipo. The pre-op care and post-op care has been amazing and thorough. I truly couldn’t be happier with my result and can’t even put into words just how much it means to me that this surgery was so successful.Dr. Griffin really listens to what you want and is very honest about what he is able to do. He is so talented, kind, and understands just how much pain and hurt revision patients have been through. I spent so much time researching nearly every revision rhinoplasty surgeon in the United States and consulting with many plastic surgeons after my last rhinoplasty failed.I would have traveled anywhere in the U.S. and paid anything. I knew Dr. Griffin was the perfect surgeon for the goals I had in mind - a more natural, feminine, and deprojected nose that I could breathe well from. He also did an amazing job on replacing my chin implant and the liposuction. My chin implant (a silicone implant) is small and feminine, which is exactly what I asked for. My last chin implant was placed upside down and didn't have enough downward projection. Dr. Griffin is by far one of the best facial plastic surgeons in the United States and I highly recommend him.
