3 weeks post op

Today is almost 4 weeks postop and let me say I feel great . I feel like I see results a little more each day. I have been going once a week to see Dr. Gupta to get a lymphatic massage . I will say it’s not the most comfortable thing but I tolerate it because I know it’s part of the process. In between the other days I tried to give myself a massage for 10 minutes at least once a day. I’m still wearing my compression garment almost 24/7. I went in last week and got a smaller size compression garment and some form to prevent creasing do to me sitting down a lot at work . I’m pretty much out of pain since the first week post op. Sometimes when I feel as I stretched too much or reach for something like tying my shoes I feel a little discomfort but nothing I would call pain. I’m pretty much out of pain since the first week post op. Sometimes when I feel as I stretched too much or reach for something like tying my shoes I feel a little discomfort but nothing I would call pain also I feel like the swelling is getting better day by day although today I do feel a little bit more bloated but I think I eat a lot of salt today . As always I will keep everybody updated on my progress

1 week post op

Today I Went in to have my one week post op check. I was not informed of they would be doing a lymphatic massage today. If I would have known I would’ve taken the pain medicine that they gave me before hand because let me tell you, that massage was very uncomfortable and painful. The doctor did it for about 10 minutes and said I should be doing it twice a day. The doctor offered me to come in once a week and he would do it for me for free.
As far as my recovery I feel great I have very little pain and I won’t even call it pain I would say more discomfort sometimes in certain positions when I move. I haven’t taken any pain medicine in a few days and I actually went back to work to days after the procedure . Doctor said that I am looking great and he is very happy with my shape so far and is certain that I will just continue to get better. I will keep everybody updated in a few weeks I’ll snap more pictures

Had Smart Lipo at PureMd on upper and lower abs,...

Had Smart Lipo at PureMd on upper and lower abs, bra roll, flanks. I had it at countless hours of research for about a year or so before I took the plunge to do the procedure. I only went to three places to have a consult and I chose to do PureMD because I felt comfortable there.
My only concerns were having loose skin after the procedure.
The day of my surgery I was given an Ativan and a Percocet. I decided to take two Percocet that day one of five hours before my procedure then the other one when I got the office . When I walked in they made me take my anabiotic and a Percocet, so I took a total of two before procedure. When I got there I sat in the waiting room for about an hour or so because the doctor was running late. At this point I was starting to get nauseous because of the medicine, one of the nurses fitted me for a garment then took me back to the room and took preop pictures. I continue to feel really nauseous so they gave me some water and I sat down for a few minutes, they reassured me that that was completely normal. At this point I was not nervous or anxious I was just really nauseous. A few minutes later the doctor came in and put IV in my hand just in case . And laid on the bed and they begin to sterilize my stomach area, mind you I was not sedated during this procedure I was fully awake . The doctor began to inject the numbing solution into my stomach which felt like a few minor pinches but nothing horrible. Once I was in him he began taking the laser cannula back-and-forth to melt the fat. After the fat was melted then he began to suction out the fat.
During the procedure I wouldn’t say it was completely painless there were a few spots especially by my ribs and a pelvic bone that were very very sensitive and I actually started crying when he was suctioning. Then he would move to another area and come back .
The whole procedure took about 4 1/2 hours . Once he has satisfied with my shape he began to start draining the excess fluid from my stomach . After that he went over some postop instructions with me and then he left me with the nurses. They proceeded to clean me up and once again I was lightheaded and nauseous so I sat on the bed for a few minutes . After that they walked me to the car and my sister picks me up. I threw up a few times on the way home and once before I left the office. I got back to my sisters house I took another Percocet and some ibuprofen 800 ate a salad then went to bed .
