Frustrating bra sizes
ladyjane20January 27, 2016
WORTH IT$6,400
Seriously! Who comes up with bra sizes and why the hell are they so different everywhere you go?!? I got measured at VS and the lady said 36DDD. I walk to the other side of VS & they say 34DDD. I try on a 34DDD & I can't breathe. I tried on a 36DDD & it worked but I wasn't sold on how it felt so I walk down to Dillard's. The lady theremeasures me as 34 but doesn't measure cup. Says I look like DDD. Start trying on bras. I end up wearing a 34H! I don't buy any bc they are $70, underwire & minimizing bra. No thanks. My PS said I could wear underwire but I wore it my whole life and before my BA I had a natural double bubble so I'm trying to avoid the underwire if possible or at least all the time. I feel like I'm prone to it. :0/. And who wants a minimizing bra after paying for them?! Not this girl. Now I'm exhausted, I haven't found any bras that I like. My shoulder is hurting- irritated rotator cuff from adjusting to weight of implants is what I'm thinking.?? Anyhow....I walk on down to Soma where they measure me at 34DDD also. She brings me a few bras to try on in 36DDD, which I like much better than what I've been finding but I'm still coming out of the top. She tells me they don't make anything bigger than DDD/E in the bras I like. She bring me a few more in G's?!? They were all lace & made me look like I I cone boobs. With lots of lace underneath my shirt. :( before my BA I always measured a C even though I was a DD. Wondering if I measure off even after the surgery. So frustrating to not find anything. I'm good with my Walmart stretchy bras but occasionally it might be nice to wear a normal bra. Or maybe I'll just buy stock in pasties & say eff it! I'm open to suggestions and recommendations.

6 week update
ladyjane20January 20, 2016
Ok. So 6 was and some change and long overdue for an update. I've had two "checkups" and don't go back until spring. Let me just say first that I Love my new breasts! However, this is still a process for me. At my last check up I was released to do whatever I wanted with the exception of working my pec muscles- no problem there. My PS said I'm right on schedule if not slightly ahead of schedule. My scars should be invisible in another month but I still have a little dropping to do and I still have lots of softening. I still sleep on my back or side. I have been sized at VS for a 36E (DDD) but I haven't been sized anywhere else and I'm still wearing sports bras and a comfy bra I found at Walmart (they only had one XL & it's was in Lepoard print - I plan on going back & trying to find neutral colors to buy). My left breast was always slightly bigger and it is the side that still has dropping to do. I didn't notice how bad until I tried on a bikini top. Also from the side you can see it is higher. Lol. I love how full and soft my breast are now, I'm still adjusting to how high they are, only bc they were so droopy before. All of my clothes fit the same (except bras & bikini tops) Igot excited & finally bought a few dresses and shirts to show off the girls. I haven't been massaging my scars I need to get back to work on that. My PS told me I didn't have to do any breast massages so I haven't. Everybody that has seen them loves them but when I got to take pictures I get paranoid bc I feel like I really see differences. The left needs to drop but it looks like it's lower than the right in some photos. And sometimes I feel them & they feel so soft & then I grab them & they feel hard still. Some photos the right looks more round than left and I freak out about capsular contraction. So while I do love them at 6wks I still see changes and I still have little panic moments but this seems fairly normal. :p

Thanks! So far so good. I had my follow-up yesterday. He said I'm right on schedule if not ahead a little bit. I love them in clothes but when I get naked I'm still looking at myself thinking damn these are huge. I just playing the waiting game for scars to heal and implants to soften & finishing dropping. Did he have you massage your implants??

Well good!! It's good to have that "whoa these are huge reaction" in my opinion! Hahha mine was different than others healing but he had me do a little bit but not really. And that was only on my problem implant. When is your next appt?
