One year later

It's hard to believe an entire year has passed. I finally feel comfortable in my own skin and in this body. My scars are fading, I'm confident in a way I've never been and my body no longer holds me prison. I thought losing weight would free me of the prison, but it wasn't until Dr. Kerekes worked her magic that I finally came into my own! Her bedside manner, care, and skill are evident in everything she does. I could t be more grateful to her. Since the LBL I've had a brachiopalary and medial thigh lift (February 2016) a revision to my mons (May 2016- it was still a bit full), and a majoraplasty ( you truly can't chose where you lose weight from!) I've included pics, but my majoraplasty was only two weeks ago so I'm still swollen in that area. I check in often, but don't usually post. Feel free to ask me any questions!!!

5 1/2 months post op (pics)

Hi there! I can't believe it's been almost six months since my LBL. I finally bought new clothes last month. I waited longer since I had an extended brachioplasty and an extended lift in February. I'm doing well and back to exercising. Running still feels weird since my middle is numb and gets tingling, but it isn't painful. I've gone from a size 8 down to a 4 and I couldn't be happier with my results!!

3 months post op

It's been about 3 1/2 months now and I'm doing great! I just had an extended brachioplasty and extended medial thigh lift 5 weeks ago so I paused in my recovery, but on a good note any remaining twinges from the lol seemed not to be such an issue, lol. It was also a really good way to throw myself into using my stomach muscles again.

I haven't bought much in the way of new clothes, but I think I'm probably a 4 or 6 for pants. I have bought a few dresses and they've been 4's. I couldn't be happier with my results. During my thigh lift the surgeon was able to fix my thigh that still didn't lift after the lol as much asI would have liked. Before my second surgery I had returned to running and cannot wait to get moving again. I'll post pics again at 6 months. My results are worth every moment of this journey. I remain so thankful that this was a possibility for me and so appreciative of this community.
Until later ...

Dr. Kerekes is skilled surgeon with great bedside manner. She answered all of my questions and I never felt rushed. She gave me realistic answers and even answered questions I didn't know I had. As chief resident her surgeon fees were half the cost of an attending (University of Kentucky Cosmetic Surgery Associates), but an attending (Dr.Daniel Stewart) scrubbed in with her and reviewed her plans. The procedure itself was a joint effort in planning. I love her enough that she'll be doing a medial thigh lift, extended brachioplasty, and breast aug w/ mastopexy, in less than two months. I would send my own mother or sister to her without hesitation!!!
