Back to Work
bringingmommabackMay 9, 2016
Hello! I started back work last Monday (PO day 18). The first couple of days were rough but it seems to be getting a bit better everyday. The swelling is just bad but it to is getting better. I'm learning to eat differently since I am not used to a low sodium diet. All and all I am thrilled with the results. I will post some pics taken last week. Ps - ordered my first bikini in 8 years :)

Feeling better everyday

Hi guys! I am PO 9 days. I finally changed my review status to "worth it." I have had my doubts over the last 9 days but I am slowly returning to normal and happy with my progress. I had my last drain removed yesterday and it was a huge relief and wasn't too painful at all. My doc said I could take Motrin -- which is such a relief. I am totally off the narcotics. My doc does not typically use binders or compression garments until the drains are removed so yesterday was the first time I attempted to get into my Maidenform Flexees. I wanted to cry!!!! The swelling was horrendous. I was able to get the torset camisole on yesterday and by this morning, the swelling had decreased to a manageable (i.e. breathable) level. I'm eating small meals and trying to find things without a lot of sodium because normal eating makes me miserably swollen. I'm still resting a lot and sleeping in the recliner since my 3 year old co-sleeps in our bed. Anyway, I plan on taking it easy and having a glass of wine (first post-op) and Netflix marathon tonight! I will post updated pics soon.
