44.....3 Kids....time for Me! (What Was I Thinking? I'm SCARED to Death) - Lewisburg, PA

So for as long as I can remember, I've had chubby thighs and a pooch. Even before kids. Nothing drastic, but enough that my thighs rubbed and I could never comfortably wear shorts. That ride up made me uncomfortable and self conscious. My belly was easier to manage with a higher rise bikini.....before kids. Post kids staying in shape was a challenge and one I found myself frustrated with as I wasn't seeing changes. BB kicked my butt......but the changes were minimal. (even on @1200 cal a day)

Two weeks ago I met with a local plastic surgeon, with a excellent reputation, for liposuction. He suggested a tummy tuck as well. I have stretch marks and he felt the result would be better. I took several days to decide and with my husbands blessing....I'm going for it.

Tomorrow is surgery and I'm scared to death. I'm taking a plethora of pills that makes my OCD persona go nuts, but one thing I wish they had given me....an anti anxiety or a pill to relax me. My stomach is so upset tonight. Surgery is tomorrow, my youngest starts school Thursday and my middle daughter moves to college Saturday to start her freshman year. YUP....... I picked the perfect time to put myself out of commission.

I'll post back after surgery when I'm up to it. I'm attaching before photo's I took today. Keep in mind...I HATE having my photo taken, much less in a pair of underwear.

Hello muscles I didnt know existed....ouch

Well it is the evening of my surgery. I forgot to mention that on top of these procedures, I had lipo'd fat injected into my lips. Seemed the older I got, the more my lips disappeared. So far, from what I can tell, they are perfect.

Ok...real stuff here. Pain...yup. Set an alarm to get myself up every 4 hrs to stay on top of it at least till Sunday. Im draining a little more than earlier, bit they said that was normal.

I posted lip pics. Haven't even had the desire to look at my body. (The thought of removing this garment is scary). My lips are swollen, but I'm pleased.

Hopefully another update will come tomorow.

This morning started off well. I felt good. It's now 2:45p and I feel awful. My back is killing me. My legs burn, my feet look like clubs. I'm TRYING to walk but can't do much now because back hurts. Trying to stay positive. Spoke several times to my doctors office. They are so nice. I've decided to get a second garment since I'm married to this one 24/7 for the next several weeks. I have the cutest little nurse. (See pic).

Hang in there. You have done it!
The first few days will be tough as you know but look at the "prize" at the end of it all.
