After losing 50 pounds and keeping it off for over a year, I decided to have my belly apron taken care of. I had my first consultation in September 2014. I decided for financial reasons, to hold off on the surgery. I was finally able to go through with it on September 2nd, 2015. They removed about 11 pounds of skin and tissue and did a little lipo on my hips.

You look great I have a very similar build and am looking into a Tt. How was your recover process?

I'm still recovering, but good so far! More discomfort than pain, and even then not bad because I didn't need muscle repair.

Mine recovery wAs LoNG! Ended up having 56 days off work, but saying that the pain was next to nothing, and it would have been a lot quicker if I didn't have any complications. I would still do it all again and my complications are rare, just go for it!!!

Omg 56 days? Do you mind telling what kind of complications? You never know so I need to be prepared I have two kids at home and work ft so I'm hoping to be back to work at 4 weeks so you guys think it's possible

4 weeks is a 'normal' time for recovery, I had a hemotoma my wound dehist and opened up, I had a hole that was about 6cm round, I had a blood transfusion a week after my op, a seroma that burst through the hole that was like my waters braking spontaneously, but like my hubby says I didn't die, and I would still do it again!!! I was just unlucky,

Dr. Normington was my surgeon too. I am almost 5 weeks PO. I wouldn't have wanted to go to anyone else! Rough recovery though, but I had the muscles repaired. Good luck! Happy Healing. :)

I am 4 weeks post op and have been able to take 30 minute walks a few times a week. I still have my drain in because I am still draining 50cc in 24 hours. I cannot wait to get this drain out and I hope it's soon.
