Advice!
Just think about how wonderful you will look and feel.
Good for you for doing something for yourself.
The surgery will go fine. Its not very complicated but as always, going under the knife is scary. Don't worry.
Sorry, I don't know what imbrication is? Surgery went well, pain is mostly under control, I go from mild discomfort to painful aches, only day 1 though! Trying to stay positive :)
Hi- How are you? Have you been drinking only liquids for the past 2 weeks?
I'm having LB put in on Friday. I'm really worried. My BMI was 26 but I'm only 5'3" so the 50 extra pounds look like 100.
I haven't told anyone that I am doing it. My doctor made me feel like it would be easy to hide it from the world.
I hope your feeling good.
I'm much better now, its been a painful couple of weeks, day 3 I had a meltdown I had never experienced such pain, it's very hard to hide you've had a op, and you really have to completely rest to heal, just the smallest things would wear me out. I'm moving on to a little puréed food tomorrow, but I've been badly constipated so make sure you get enough fibre. I've lost a stone already though from my pre op diet weight. My best advice would be take all the medicine regularly and drink plenty of fluids, good luck :)
how did it go?
did you get lap band with imbrication?
Hi there!!

I just wanted to say well done on doing this for you!
I've booked mine for mid Oct with Chris Sutton in Leicester and wondered if he did yours?!
I'm incredibly nervous, I haven't told anyone and have a 1 yr old to look after as a single parent. It's such a big decision and have read so many bad things (that's the problem when you google it-most people only ever highlight the bad stuff!!)
Any advice would be massively appreciated! Xx
Omg just looked on here, you must have had your op, I did have mr Sutton, all went well but the pain after was horrendous, but it gets better within 2 weeks. let me know how you are getting on x
How are you feeling? how was the surgery?
Worst pain ever....better now though thanks, I've had 1 fill but need more restriction I think x

I have struggled for the last 20 years with my weight, yo-yo-ing, on every diet out there, loved the weight loss but soul destroying when I put it all back on again, my BMI is 33 but I have been heavier at BMI 36. I know I can lose the weight, but can't bear to think that I might put it all back on yet again! My surgery is in 2 weeks so any advice would be great. starting my pre-op diet in a few days.
