Hello all...

I don't normally use anything like this or talk about my body - especially bits that i'm not happy about but here I am. I have found this site so useful so far but also very confusing at the same time.

I have always had small boobs and always joked and laughed about them and me getting a BA most of my life but never really plucked up the courage. Its only been since coming back off holiday and seeing other girls and women with bigger boobs that its made me feel insecure.

I am only a 34 A / very small B and with me being 5 ft 8"- I feel i'm out of proportion for my top half.
I have been looking into many different sizes and shapes and never realised it would be such a hard decision. All I do want though is natural looking, poss under the muscle and around a C poss even small D... I just don't want the look of footballs on my chest - just not the look im looking for personally.

So i have booked in a consultation tomorrow (Eek!) to see what he can do for me.

My only other worry though is the recovery time. I'm a Paramedic and only able to really take 14 days off at one time... would 14 days be long enough? I carry patients in chairs, pull them up etc...I am a bit worried about this side to it.

Anyway.... enough of me waffling - I shall keep you all posted as to how tomorrow goes and if I go for it.

Thanks Ladies,

L xx

Dr Sankar and his team have all been great so far. Very attentive and so helpful throughout. My experience has been great too - really can't fault them. From waking up after my op - they were up to date with all my meds and helping me get about when going toilet, eating etc as you really do need help and support with the minimalist things. From day 1 - Dr Sankar has replied to all my questions and assisted me throughout my consultation. He was a recommendation from my friend who had hers done over 4 years ago and I'm pleased I went with him too. He put me at ease before I had the op and after the op when I got back from recovery to check I was ok. He popped back to see me the morning after my op which was lovely of him. I was then discharged with a ruck of aftercare advice and my medication. I saw the nurse 4 days after my operation to change my bandages and put on some fresh ones, and also at the 1 week mark too. I then caught up with my PS 11 days post op so he could make sue all is ok. He took so more photos, had a squeeze and looked at my incisions plus give me some more advice on bio-oil/vaseline to rub on my scars etc. I also have an appointment on my 4 week mark with him too. So far - the care I have been given from Mr Sankar and the team at Nuffield have been second to none. You hope it would be going private and almost spending £5000 with them but you can certainly see the difference. The place itself is very nicely decorated, the individual room you stay in overnight are perfect - huge size in fact, the operating theatre is incredible too... great Bupa hospital. I would definitely come back if i ever needed anything else doing. Thanks once again. Very pleased so far.

Hi there. 14 days is not long enough to take off of from a physical job, in my opinion. I work a physical job too and I was in much pain and still had mobility issues with my arms for the first couple weeks. Is there any way they could put you on temporary office duty or make accommodations so that you do not have to do heavy lifting? Generally you're not supposed to be doing any heavy lifting until 6 weeks post op. But ask your doctor. He knows best. Good luck! :-)

Consultation day...

So... I went for my consultation today and it's made me realise how much I really do want them and how small I am.
Profile wise - he's said between 310-360 and under the muscle as my pocket size isn't large enough for a bigger size. I'm hoping that's ok...
I'll pop some pictures up but the implants were a bit scew wiff so can't really see well.. But here they are. He wants one more consultation then possibly 19th March have them done... Eek!!! £4800-£5000 ive been quoted. Rather a lot but worth it.
Keep you all updated as to what I decide x

I like your pictures...a very nice size for your body frame. You should ideally be fine to return to work after 14 days but just in case you're still a bit sore will you be sharing your surgery plans with  your employer? I'll put 3/19 as your surgery date but let me know if it changes. Keep us posted!

Thanks Beth... I'm hoping to hear back today. I won't be sharing my employer with my plans but will let them know I'm having an op... Just not where and what for as its personal to me. Fingers crossed x

Congratulations on your March 20th surgery date! A Friday will be ideal so you can just rest all weekend without any worries!

I am moving it now to May due to only securing 15 days off work. I feel I am going to need more because of my job. I am seein my surgeon on Tuesday 10th to arrange a new date. Gutted but don't want to undo the work I've had done. X
