pod #8- finally took a shower! !
Today was another roller coaster day. I started out dry heaving into a trash can and feeling awful. After dinner crackers and applesauce I felt much better and was able to go to the pet store for some puppy essentials. When we got home I got my first shower. I was so uneasy with the garment off. I felt like my belly was too vulnerable. .. weird! The shower wore me out so after that we say on the couch for a hobbit movie marathon. I went 12 hours without pain meds or muscle relaxes...yeah! Bowls are doing good and I'm standing more upright (at times). Here are some pics from today. I'm so happy that the results are so good. I know after swelling is down it will be even better. How all my other tt sisters are doing great!

I was so anxious about today's appointment that I decided to take two Percocet about a half an hour before hand. I got ready (wore makeup and everything) and that seemed like it took all the energy I had. By the time we got in the office I was a nervous wreck. The nurse started removing my binder and staying then started messing with my new belly button. That was the strangest sensation I have ever had! It felt like a dull manipulation of something inside my chest. I began to get faint and nauseous. I turned into a big baby at that point. Cool washcloth on the head and deep breathing got me through the remainder of the appt. The doctor sAid I looked amazing and he was happy with my progress. I still couldn't look at any of it. .. afraid I would pass out. The nurse removed my drains and placed me in a stage two cg and we were done. After we got in the car I looked at the pictures and I am so happy. I can't wait to go shopping! ! Btw, I am having normal bm's now but still not much of an appetite. Still walking hunched over but feeling better everyday.

Well today I had my first follow up appt and had my drains removed. Here is a video of that. Please don't watch it if you get queasy about that kind of thing. Just thought I'd share. Hubby thought it was kinda cool!

Dr. Chhatre seemed very knowledgeable and gentle. He was neither warm nor cold in his disposition...just matter of fact. The office staff was very friendly and professional. His rates were much more affordable than the three other surgeons I consulted with. I also found his office was the most busy as well. He came highly recommended by a friend who had an augmentation by him. I am happy with him so far.
