I have had my consultation and have my surgery...

WORTH IT$4,000
I have had my consultation and have my surgery booked with the hospital group on 14th June in Bromsgrove.
I'm a B cup currently, however have had 2 children (eek) so they need a bit of help. I have been offered 375/400/425cc to take me to approx D/DD.
I'm leaning more towards 425cc, but they've ordered all 3 sizes so I don't have to make a decision until the morning of the surgery.
I have been told a lot of people get used to their boob size straight after surgery and then are a bit disappointed once the swelling goes down.
My children are 5 months and 3 years, I'm too busy to be nervous just at the moment, but would absolutely love any suggestions or recommendations, things you wish you.d known before you went in etc.
Surgery isn't the thing that's scaring me, I've have 2 c-sections, the recovery was slow and painful though with a toddler running around.

Hey there! Welcome, and thanks for sharing your story with us. I hope you'll get lots of support from the community. Do you know which brand your implants will be? Please keep us updated! I hope you've got some support at home for after your procedure.

Hello Sheila,
My husband is taking a week and a half off work, I'm hoping that will be enough :s
I was quite mobile after my c sections, although i'm still worried. Some girls seem to be bouncing back quickly, others are still having a great deal of pain a week after, I suppose it affects people differently. The implants are Motiva. The ones with the little chip inside them x

Hi, congratulations on your upcoming boobies! I would like to help you make an informed decision on your ccs, but I need to know some stats.

How tall are you?
What type of implant are you getting, silicone or saline?
What profile are you doing?
What is your current breast width measurement? As measured by your surgeon?

I am 5' 6", and had 12.5cm breast width. I chose highly cohesive gel, silicone, 390cc, high profile placed under the muscle via the breast crease incision.
I absolutely love them, i thi k i have pretty natural, perky results, but I still wonder what an additional 35 ccs would have looked like.

Just a little over a week to go.

I'll be driving down to Dolan Park next Monday evening, ready for my surgery on Tuesday morning.
I have been reading reviews about Dolan Park hospital, some very very good and some a wee bit worrying. Hopefully all should be well though.
I have
Posted my current boobies - this is a 32B bra, although I'm squeezed into it slightly - my back is still a little bigger as I'm still slimming down from having my baby.
I was going to get a Macom Bra before I get to the hospital but I've no idea what size to buy. After the implants I should be a D/DD cup, does anyone know if you can buy the bras at the hospital?
I feel incredibly unprepared, with 2 children running around I haven't had chance to do the research I wanted to. Feeling the pressure : (

Hello there! We have the same surgery date and we are looking at close to me the same size implants. I will be anywhere between 400-450cc's. I have 3 children and the youngest is under 1 so I totally understand what you are going through! Best of wishes sweetie and a speed recovery! Keep me updated :)

Hello! Oh amazing, I'm so happy I will have someone to compare things with : )
Where are you having yours done?
Are you worried about recovery with the children? Do you have support at home, my husband is taking a week or so off work with me.
I'm getting rather excited now, I keep thinking this time next week it will be done!! xx

I'm having it done in Tampa fl. And I think I am most worried about recovery with the children. My hubby is taking 5 days off and my mother-in-law will help after that when he is working if I need it. I have a 1 year old and I'm not suppose to lift her for 2 weeks :(. I'll miss my play time with her. Besides that I am so excited and can't wait for Tuesday!! I feel like I'm nesting (like pregnant woman do before the arrival of their baby). Trying to have everything ready, cleaned, and set up so its easier on my hubby afterwards! How are you preparing and what items are you getting for before and after surgery?
June 8, 2016
My youngest is 6 months old so yes a bit worried about the recovery too!
I'm nervous about having everything ready, I'm trying to get my children's things packed up - they're going to my mums house for a couple of days whilst my husband and I go to the hospital. Then getting everything ready for when I get home, I am totally nesting too!
I have bought arnica to take afterwards and stocked up on some painkillers.
I'm dieting from the birth of my baby, but I'm putting that on hold and have stocked up on plenty of comfort food depending on how I'm feeling.
I have had general anaesthetic before and I went through a few days of being totally starving.
It hasn't really sunk in yet, but I'm getting more and more excited.
How about you, how are you preparing/what have you bought?

How are you feeling today?!
I'm sat in my room waiting to be taken down to surgery. It should be a couple of hours wait....
June 14, 2016
I've been up tossing and turning in bed since 3am. Lol. My surgery isn't until 1 :(. Tons of positive, healing thoughts coming your way! See you on the other side :)!!!
June 14, 2016
I'm out!! My surgery was about 11:30am.
Sat up in bed having a sandwich and a cup of tea (I'm English! Haha)
I'm doing well, feeling good. Got a bit of achy pain but it's getting better as each hour passes. My throat is really sore from the breathing tube but otherwise no complaints here.
How are you doing? It's 5:10pm here, what time is it for you? : )

C-Section v Breast Augmentation

Penelope23
Hi - Can anyone tell me what the pain/discomfort is like in comparison to a c-section? I have had 2, my first an emergency under general anasthetic and the second with an epidural/spinal block.
From what I can remember of the second one, I had pain medication at the end of the op ready for when the epidural wore off. A dose of Oralmorph that night but then paracetamol and naproxen after that.
I came home 48 hours after my section and carried on with these pain killers as often as I could.
Reading some of the reviews on here, people seem to be in a lot of pain and some strong medication that is making them feel sick/spaced out.
I never felt sick due to the medication.
Can anyone shed any light?

Thanks xx

the hardest part of the recovery is NOT using the pec muscles- from opening cans to lifting the hood of the car to carrying things...I had a c section and the pain for me was very manageable as was the breast surgery. I never got sick, moved off the stronger pain meds soon as I could, alternating between tylenol and the stronger meds. Just take care of yourself, be really prepared laundry, food, etc wise, let laundry pile up a few days or pay for a cleaner to come in (after all the money well worth it. Again its amazing what we use the pec muscles for and don't even know it

Hi, thanks for your reply. That sounds promising. I managed quite well with movement after the sections, it was just the infections that got me.
Were you able to lift and generally look after yourself? I had to do things very slowly, but I could get there eventually.
