How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Really short post to tell those of you suffering...

Really short post to tell those of you suffering with swelling of thick skin after rhinoplasty, that it does go down! It just take A LONG time and happens gradually.

Would I do it again knowing how bad I looked after? No!
But now that I have done it I feel it was worth it! I know that sounds strange but if I had known how bad I would look for 3-4 months I probably would never have got it done but at the same time my face looks so much better now.

Anyway after 3-4 months of extreme swelling it did start to go down and by 9 months I went back to my surgeon and had my nostrils reduced slightly (alar base reduction). My nostrils are still slightly asymmetrical and my nose is not perfect but it looks okay. I have considered revision to drop the tip which is still too upturned but like I have said i do not want to go through another surgery and endless swelling!

I'm attaching pictures to help those of you suffering to know that it does get better.
