Miradry Procedure Experience
Right after the procedure was done I got my arm pits iced right away which probably helped a lot cause it's only been a few hours and my armpits does not even looked like it got the Miradry procedure done to it. I also took Ibuprofen just in case it hurts.
Before Miradry Procedure:
I shaved my arm pits 4 days before procedure and made sure I didn't shave or plucked the hair in my armpit 3-1 day before procedure cause I might get a higher chance of getting my underarm infected and because the nurses and doctors recommended to shave 4-6 days before the procedure is done.
I felt happy, anxious and scared at the same time as the minute get closer to the time I had my appointment for Miradry procedure. But the nurse who I talked to before about MiraDry was also the nurse who was about to do the procedure to me. She was really helpful, nice and just amazing on getting me educated with MiraDry and while the procedure was happening.
During Procedure:
They asked me first if I'm in a birth control pill and I'm not so I said, "nope". Another question the nurse asked is, "Do u have deodorant on?" and I said, "yes"
Then she had to take the deodorant off with alcohol wipes. I think it's because they want everything clean before doing the procedure so there are no infection that will happen afterwards. After cleaning my armpits with alcohol she started to measure my underarm so that she can put the temporary template so that she has a grid on where she has to inject and use the heatwave machine on. After that she took her book out which has the temporary template copy on it because she wanted to make sure that all the placement and grids were right on the spot. Then we started on the injections. From what I remembered it was 100 injections. It had a first round, second round and a third round. Overall there was 50 on the right underarm and 50 on the left underarm. When she was using the needle and injecting me with the numbing stuff after the first round it was ok because I couldn't feel it no more which was great. after the temporary plate was on and injecting was done with the right arm she went ahead and put on the gel in my armpits which I didn't even feel was there cause my underarms were numb from the injections which was definitely good. After that she started with the MiraDry Machine. I had level 4 on which is second to the highest level. I didn't feel a thing while this was going on but there was probably 2-3 times where I felt heat for like 2 seconds then it cooled back down so it wasn't painful and in fact was painless because of the numbing injections. Finally after 30 mins of working in my right underarm she got me a small ice pack so I can have under my right armpit while she works on my left underarm. The same procedure was done to my left armpits.
After Procedure:
I had no bleeding in my underarms, I don't feel a thing and actually felt not sweaty for the first time in my life.
Before Coming home:
I bought myself two more Ice packs so I can constantly Iced my pits and hope that it recovers really fast. Then I got some Polysporin so I have an antibiotic to put at night in my underarms and so that my armpits doesn't get infected.
Results Right Away:
So far so good the first result I've noticed is that odor is gone. I found this out while buying ibuprofen, ice packs and antibiotic for my underarm at walmart right after the procedure was done because usually when I walk by people or just walking towards them there nose will be itching like hell. But when I walked by people today not even an itch from peoples nose and I don"t smell a thing coming out of my underarms. Also I haven't sweat at all after the procedure which makes me think. "This is Amazing! this is the most well spent money I've had." But we'll see it's still too early to tell but his is just what I've experienced for now.
* I will try to update progress everyday or at least once a week. I will also be posting a short video of the Miradry procedure that was done to me in a couple of days.
