So,I've discovered any imperfections you had befor might seem more exaggerated after. Dr wants to do scar revision on base od nostrils and there is a suture under the skin in left nostril that looks like zit he will take out too. He can perform this in office under local injection anesthetic in Oct.I told him I thought the tip would be more narrow after, & he said we would not touch that till one year. I have a feeling that would have to be done open incision in hospital, which would cost possibly another 2500 for facility time and anesthetic. I probably wont be doing that. I will ask again later. Overall I think it is better but don't know if I would do it again since it cost 7500. I interviewed 5 docs and don't know if I would have gone w my 2nd choice (2000 cheaper) if it would have turned out the same anyway. We'll see will post again in Oct. Be prepared for revision. Especially in bulbous tip cases.

Overall, Im already happier w new nose vs old. Still a little concerned that one side of nostrils not healing as fast/well as other. He said it will all tighten up/pull together, next few months. 1st week recovery was rough, 2nd week still had tape. Still minor black eyes and scar showing on column.

4th day out....

Well the 2nd day post op was the worst. Moderate pain @ suture sites &nose itself, pressure, itching. Started freaking out a little thinking it's too upturned, trying to have faith, hope I don't end up w a pig nose. The nurse said over the phone that when the splint comes off, it will all settle down. Fat grafting g sites on cheekbones still tender.

I know the splints make your nose very congested. You'll feel relieved once they're removed. Wish you a smooth recover. Can't wait to see your results.
