WORTH IT$5,000
Finally took the plunge and got lower body liposuction (ultrasonic liposuction) this morning. That includes the abdomen, flanks, inner and outer thighs, and even knees. I have a small build, but have always hated my saddlebags, no matter how much I worked out and when I weighed 120, they were still there. Always had trouble finding jeans that would fit my awkward thighs...
So this morning I arrived 8am. Was prepped and given IV anestethia, Propafol, which just puts you safely to sleep. No mask or artificial airways or machine breathing required..Much easier to wake up from and safer than general anesthesia. This is my very first surgery ever, being put out made me very nervous. All of the nurses were so informative and friendly. Most all of them have had lipo and their breasts done there as well, and gave me lil tips/advice. My Doc is so great, friendly and down to earth. Not sure on results yet, as this is day one, but I'm super excited.
When I awoke from surgery, I won't lie, I was in alot of pain. The back/abs didn't hurt at all, but my butt and upper legs were trembling in pain. They already placed my compression garmet while I was sleeping, which is from my ribs to below my knee with a hole so you can urinate with it on. I had an hour ride home and was still in alot of leg/butt pain. Ended up taking 2 Norco and finally was able to nap. Woke up feeling so much better. Very stiff, swollen, hurts to sit. But my pain is very minimal, hope it just gets better from here. I have 1 day post op tomorrow. Will try to post my preop pics.

Very swollen and stiff, not in alot of pain unless I have to move for any reason. Getting up or laying down is the hardest chore ever. And have to pee doing a standing squat over the toilet as I cannot sit on it at all. Worried that I maybe getting constipated, but I've been taking my softeners, so hopefully it'll happen soon. Sleeping is miserable, I hate sleeping on my back, but that is the only position possible. I feel like I'm not resting as much as I should, but to be honest, it's so much more comfortable to stand. I'm returning to work in 4 days, I'm hoping that it's not so painful to sit/stand by then..As I haven't told any of them I was getting this done and don't want it to be totally obvious that I'm in pain.
My Doc gave the ok to shower. Looking forward to it, but worried I may get faint. Curious to see how i look without this garmet on. I can tell I'm very swollen.
I forgot to ask my doc how much fat was removed at my post op yesterday. Very curious, guess I'll have to wait til my week post op.

Hi there! I also had inner/outer/front/back thighs and inner knees done on 10/21. I'm definitely feeling the same way you are (though your saddlebags are nowhere near as bad as mine, lucky!). I find that bracing myself against the wall helps me sit on the toilet to pee, and at one point, I made my husband buy me a funnel to pee (you could try that), though I can gingerly sit on the toilet now. I also hate sleeping on my back too, are you keeping your legs elevated?
My doc said I can't shower for 4 days...I'm curious to know how you'll do when you shower, please let me know! I'm a bit nervous. Can I ask you how long you were told you had to wear your compression garment? Several people at the clinic have given me different answers, so I'm a bit confused.
Anyway, good luck with the healing, I'm experiencing the same thing at the same time! Looking forward to your updates, I'm going to try to keep up with mine too.

Hi Funkysocks!! I think you have a cute lil figure. At least you have a nice booty :). Shower went great. No dizziness at all and I think it helped my pain alot..doc said I should wear my garmet for a month, but said it's only for comfort..that the results are the same if you wear it or not. Hope you're healing well. And you look great!! Keep us posted :)

Aw thanks! I hate my figure, I would much rather have your figure than deal with mine, you have some pretty awesome legs and small thighs! My saddlebags never went away, even when I got down to 114 lbs and worked out like crazy...so even though I've gained some weight, I decided to get lipo because I knew I could never change my bottom half without some surgical help, haha. Glad to know you only have to wear the compression garment for a month!
