How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

The first 48 hours of having them in are the worst...

The first 48 hours of having them in are the worst by far! It is the same pain you will get with braces so in all reality it is almost inevitable, but it is just short of being unbearable. Removing the rays and putting them back in after eating or drinking is super painful because of the tenderness of my bottom incisers. I have been takingn Tylenol every 4 hours Which works but I am still very aware of the discomfort of having plastic in my mouth and I can still feel the pressure of them forcing my teeth. Pain is natural and I understand it will take a couple days to get passed it. I am laying awake at 2:30am because my teeth are in so much discomfort and pain. I know these are worth it though so I will just have to push through these first few days. I am relieved also to see that I am not alone and thousands of other people are going through the exact same thing everyday!

My orthodontist is amazing. He is so kind and always polite and easy to talk to. He explains everything plain and simple and really gives me a feeling of ease and comfort in the uncomfortable setting of an orthodontist office.
