I been waiting to get this done for years now. My back pain is horrible to the point I have to take ibuprofen 800mg twice a day and sometimes that don't help. I just got approved by my insurance BCBS and I go for pre op on July 11th I'm so excited but scared to be put under. Any tips you all can give to help ease my anxiety.

How exciting! Congratulations you will be so happy you made the decision to go through with the reduction. I'm 28 and have a 2 year old. I weighed 201 the day of surgery and today I'm 5 days post op and I'm so so so happy with my results, I'm still experiencing some pain and discomfort but my biggest word of advice is to take it easy and make sure you have a support system (family and friends) to help once surgery is done! Let me know if you have any specific questions

After the surgery did you lose any weight? I'm trying to exercise a lot to get my weight down to under 200 lbs

I weighed myself today and I'm 191 the day of surgery I was 201 and he removed 7 pounds

So I've only lost about 3 pounds on my own but I'm hoping it'll continue to come off lol

Awesome! When I did my surgery clearance my hemoglobin was kinda of should I take iron pills or you think they will not do surgery on me because of it being low

IDK if my last comment posted but here it is again lol . Mine Came back low also but not too low so my PS was ok moving forward with the procedure but I did read another story on here where the PS cancelled the surgery until she got her numbers up and she had to get a iron transfusion

Mine came back low also but not too low so my PS was ok with still doing the surgery but I read another story on here where they cancelled a girls surgery due to it being too low

I literally just read a story on here that said the same thing I'm going to talk to my ps tomorrow to see what she thinks so I don't have any surprises at my prep out

I have to wait until pre op appointment to get my surgery date. I need them to give me a surgery date now so I can tell my boss and before my coworkers request the days I need off. My ps told me I need a formal pre op appointment before I can get a surgery date ???? how long did you guys take off from work I was going to only take off two weeks being that I work at clinic I just sit down all day
