So I had my surgery yesterday. Quite tired at the moment and threw up a lot in the night but am feeling a bit better this morning. Hairline was lowered 2-3 cm. I always had a large forehead and have wanted this for a long time, i feel like it looks better already cant wait for the final result. Would love to hear from anyone else who has had this done and how the procedure and healing process was for them.

Looks good thus far! I hope you are feeling much better and recovering well!
April 21, 2016
Thank you :) yeah im feeling a little better today especially because i was able to wash my hair! How are you holding up? Im still pretty tired and run down but will post some more pics of recovery soon
April 21, 2016
Hiya!! I had mine done on the 19th also by Chris I was in just before you they said they had the same procedure being done straight after, how strange to meet you on here!! Hope you're recovering well!!
April 21, 2016
That's so weird! How are you holding up? Im feeling a bit better today but really struggling to eat at the moment. The pain is ok though and i feel sooo much better since i washed my hair this morning with baby shampoo.
April 21, 2016
I did ask Mary and Chris how you were recovering! I can't believe how fast the process was!! I was really drowsy and quite sick after surgery but woke up the next day ok actually, haven't been able to sleep much, I've been sleeping on the couch so I'm forced to sleep upright. And have 4 alarms set during the night for the med schedule. I washed my hair last night and combed all the glue out I'm not sure whether I was suppose to but my hair felt better after it, hairline has been sore today though but I've continued to ice pack. I haven't had my usual appetite but still been managing to eat, had loose stools today think it's the steroids gross I know but being honest haha. Been able to do some housework and hoping to take my dog for a walk later after dark obviously haha. I can talk for England but it's comforting to know you're going through recovery at the same time as myself!!
April 21, 2016
Yeah it really is! The glue is such a pain its taking forever for me to try and get it all out! Yeah me too, im absolutely shattered i keep having naps and stuff. I've felt so dehydrated too so I've been drinking loads. I cant believe the amount of medication we have to take! I can't wait until Monday when we finish them! Doesn't the top of your head feel soooo weird? Its like im wearing a wig or something or touching someone else's hair, its creeping me out! Have you had any hair loss? A few clumps have fallen out at the top of my head but im trying to use the C Freulic behind the stitches to help it grow back. Have you started using it yet?
April 21, 2016
I haven't pooed at all yet LOL
April 21, 2016
I usually use a spray in heat defence and conditioner on my hair and I was spraying that onto a comb and gently brushing it out I pretty much got it all out but it did make my hairline sore. Mary said the glue was a new thing as you usually get fitted with a drainage system, my procedure got filmed do you know if yours did?? I know I had to write all the times down so I don't forget!! I know it's said to take for 5 days but I might just finish the whole of the antibiotics, I really don't want to get an infection!! It's so hard to judge atm it looks so different and so many things can go wrong so I'm hoping for the best but expecting the worse. It feels like I'm wearing a helmet and touching on top of the helmet so strange, tried lifting my eyebrows but I can't haha, I've had some tingling sensation over my head. I think I might of noticed a little hair loss round the hairline when I was my hair literally like 20 minutes ago I'm too scared to take a proper look I'll wait until my hair drys and I'll inspect and put on the serum. Have you been using the regaine? I saw on another post from the us all these vitamins she took and bought them all and was taking them and I got seriously told off and told to stop by the anaesthetic guy oops haha. I also had the liquid morphine I thought it tasted like a mild vodka shot I quite enjoyed it haha. Did you have to pay for your meds I got given a £69 fee at the end wasn't sure if it was for that or the food I had but I thought that was included...not that it stayed down long haha xx
April 21, 2016
Yeah i need to try and brush mine out but its so painful :( too scared to tug at it! Eww no! I definitely didn't have mine filmed, id hate to watch that back haha. Yeah i might finish the antibiotics too. Im just trying so hard to wash my hands regularly and not touch it so it doesnt get infected. When do you get your stitches out? Yeah im slowly being able to move my eyebrows up and down but it feels so weird! Its quite sore and itchy when i try and move them! I think thats a sign its healing though. Apparently youre supposed to massage your head when you can to stimulate blood flow - I hate that C Freulic stuff though doesnt it stink so bad?! Yeah I had the stupid morphine and it made me throw up everywhere for like 24 hours! Never taking it again haha. Yeah i got the same fee, im so skint now LOL. I think the nurse said it was for all the medication and food and stuff! Hopefully we both get a better sleep tonight too - I think im going to brave going out for a little walk tomorrow! Are you eating much? I hardly have any appetite at all, ive lost soo much weight! xx
April 21, 2016
Mary said to my mum my face isn't in it but I'd be quite intrigued to watch it haha. The whole thing has been so surreal!! My forehead looks soooo tiny!!! Did you have the lympathic drainage massage? I had two performed locally to my house because it would have cost the same in travel and taken 2-3 hour round trip on the train. I'm intrigued to see if they performed the same I'm having one at lbps on Tuesday and having my stitches removed and another massage next Friday, when are yours being removed?? I haven't found the serum that bad actually I've been trying to use the excess left on my finger tips on my face as its so expensive it must be good haha. Did it really!! Luckily I only had two episodes of sickness and that was at the hospital. I can't move my forehead at all it's like I've had Botox!! Got rid of the lines on my head from years of raising my brows to pretend I have a small forehead though haha. I had to guide my mum on the sat nav back home so I had to stay awake! Me too!! They put my price up by £400 three weeks before surgery date too!! Im going to take a walk in a minute now it's dark I'm used to speed walking for an hour a day walking the dog but will have to force myself to walk like an old lady!! Still going out with a hat on though haha!! I've got near enough my appetite back I've had a banana with my steroids at 5am, slice of toast, a chocolate bar, some nuts, yogurt, some minstrels, onion barge and a sausage sandwich such a pig, I have a healthy appetite for 54kg haha!! How have you got on with food today? Xx
April 21, 2016
Yeah i feel the same - im a bit worried it looks too small :( im hoping when the stitches come out though it will be the final result? I had one MLD on Monday at the clinic then i have a second one on Monday, and another one on Friday and thats when my stitches are coming out. Apparently they really have to pull on them to get them out :(. Yeah im hoping i'll never have forehead wrinkles now haha. Yeah thats the exact same with me booo! Literally waiting for pay day next week! I had a slice of toast this morning, a few chips then a bit of pasta but i can't seem to eat much at all! Im really craving vegetables and juice at the moment! Hopefully we both end up pleased with the results and manage to get some good rest over the weekend xx
April 22, 2016
It doesn't look too small in your photos but I'm also thinking I look like a Neanderthal at the moment!! Hoping it's just because it's a big change and the wound/stitches is making it look unnatural. I'm not looking forward to the stitches coming out I've never had them!! I was booked in for Monday for a massage but my mum couldn't make it, I may bump into you Friday it'll be nice to see in real life how you're healing as we're pretty much the same age too!! Really struggling to put that serum on so hard to feel!! Still have dried blood on the wound also I haven't given it a deep clean just washing over it when shampooing :/ xx
April 22, 2016
Yeah don't worry i feel the same haha. Think im slowly getting used to it day by day. I recon it'll get a lot better when we both have the stitches out! Just one more week of looking like Frankenstein! You should put some photos up of your before and afters :). Yeah its such a pain with the serum i still haven't even got the glue fully out of my hair either its all stuck to the sides :(. Same, im too scared to touch it properly! Im going to shampoo it again tomorrow and hope more stuff comes out! Xx
April 23, 2016
Definitely getting used to the size now!!! And definitely fed up of these steroid tablets my belly had been in bits!!!! I got fed up last night and actually slept in bed, it was the first lie in I've had this week!! I was going to wait until I was completely healed to give my final review but there seems to be a few other girls getting ready to go through with the procedure!! Can't believe how popular it is!! How have you been feeling? I've had no pain today and got out with the dog this evening it was so good to have the cool air blowing on my face!!! Xx
April 24, 2016
Oh no thats so annoying! Ive finishes my steroids and everything just now so maybe we will start feeling more human too soon?? I know I absolutely hate sleeping propped up, I honestly feel like I haven't slept properly in about a week so I am looking forward to getting a big lie in tomorrow! My head is still quite sore and tight, especially when i move my eyebrows (gross!). It does still feel really weird, im getting soooo impatient for the stitches to come out now! Sick of hiding from the world lol, I cant wait until they are out! It will be such a relief when they do. How are you getting on with yours? I think I only just about managed to get all the stupid glue completely out of my hair yesterday xx
April 25, 2016
As much as I want it to be over and see the final result I'm actually feeling rather strange about the novelty disappearing after wanting it done for so many years!! I'm now not thinking that it's too small but now if when the stitches are removed it's going to still be big or it'll stretch back haha so dramatic!! Being back in bed has been a real pain I've just wanted to turn over!! I can't say I've had much rest from all the alarms and watching Netflix!! Paracetamol finished yesterday and I was down to one tablet but to be honest I've not had any pain or discomfort since day 3 post op. I didnt touch the tramadol, last steroid was at 4am I messed up somewhere and only took one at some point, no more mid morning snacks thank god!! I actually quite like the Botox feel on my forehead it's so smooth haha I'm hoping its something that's stays!! Let me know how you get on with your massage I'm yet to have one with lbps mines tomorrow xx
April 25, 2016
Im back at work tomorrow im so scared! Just trying to relax and take it easy! I was meant to go for my massage today but was too tired so the first one for me will be Friday - let me know how yours goes tomorrow! Does your head feel really tight and stuff still? Mine feels like its got a weird big band around it digging in its so strange. How have you got on with your medication? I've stopped taking the antibiotics today and i finished my steroids yesterday. I have been taking tramadol on and off i haven't really used the paracetamol much! Did you get the bill from the hospital? I saw it today and laughed at how those steroids were like 46 quid :'). Yeah im just waiting for Friday morning now really when i get my MLD and my stitches out. Hopefully we both like what we see! Good luck for tomorrow xx
April 25, 2016
Are you!! What is it you do? Does anyone know that you were having it done? I go back on the 4th so have a little more time left, not looking forward to that!! Mines actually been ok, I went out with a beanie on today which put a bit of pressure on my head but was ok. I've been in some weird mood swing I'm not sure whether that's down to the meds or not and had stomach cramps that's probably been more of the problem that my actual head!! Funny how people react differently!! Oh god no!! I got the £70 bill on the day that hasn't come out of my credit card yet and had another £25.50 taken from my debit account I'm not sure what that was for though. They have a fat chance of getting anything from my account now haha!! Did they send you through that by post or just remove it from your account? I'm really not looking forward to travelling 3 hours round trip on the train and tubes for a massage but hey ho!!! Thank you!! Have fun at work haha xx

You look great. It's funny, my forehead was always as high as your natural one and I've had plenty of plastic surgery, but my forehead never bothered me at all. Nevertheless, one's appearance is truly personal and good for you for changing what bothered you. It looks like your surgeon did an excellent job! Glad to hear you're feeling better. Being sick after surgery is awful.
April 21, 2016
Thank you :) hopefully the end result is even better! I've had a few surgery's myself but I've always hated my forehead so im glad i finally did it! Yeah the first 48 hours were awful! This is definitely one of the more difficult recoveries I've had after surgery!
April 21, 2016
I am having this procedure done next Thursday (28th) with Chris, I'm so excited and scared. How painful was it after surgery? ps. it looks great already, hope your recovery is fast :)
April 21, 2016
Oh good luck! He's a really great surgeon, you can tell he knows what he's doing and they really do provide great after care. Honestly the pain hasn't been so bad really it was on the first night that it was the worst. Once you wash your hair 2 days after you'll feel a lot better. I've had a bit of glue stuck to it all from the bandages so trying to get that all out! I haven't really had any hair loss, maybe two or three clumps have come out? Im relieved because that's what i was most scared about! The worst thing really has been the nausea from the anaesthetic. One of the nurses gave me liquid morphine after the operation, if she tries to give you this turn it down because it made me throw up for 24 hours after! Good luck with it all though, just remember to stay calm that's the best thing you can do really and try not to stress!
April 21, 2016
Hi, I had the procedure with Chris in January and it was the best thing I ever did, have a look on my page, I explain everything, if you want any extra advice please ask, I'm so happy to help, it will change you let life. 1 massively useful advice, try and have 2 lymphatic drained done before you go to London, have one 3 days before and 1 the day before this helps with the incision, the surgery, scar healing and swelling xx good luck :-D xx
April 21, 2016
Hey, thanks for getting in touch! How did you feel after the procedure? I feel like my forehead is tiny, like too small! I'm hoping when the stitches come out it'll look a bit better. How does your head feel now too? Are you managing to get sensation back and stuff?? xx
April 21, 2016
It nice to chat to people who have had, having or thinking of the survey. We all have questions and scared so it's nice for honest answers. I felt good after the procedure, well they couldn't wake me up, I was supposed to leave at 1.30pm but didn't wake until 3pm!! I wasn't sick just extremely drowsy for 2 days, I think they gave me extra anaesthesia lol I was expecting pain and real discomfort but on a scale 1-10 I would say I was on a 3 amazing, but I was definitely at my worst day 7&8 I think, day or two after swelling tablets and antibiotics finished, but it's not pain just Woolley feeling. I still can't feel a thing but it's a small price to pay and it will come back eventually :-) I too thought my forehead looked small but it's because it was soooo high, once you style your hair you'll love it and I feel mines perfect now. Stitches sent that bad when removed, I too thought it was going to hurt but it really wasn't that bad and I'm a wimp lol anyway happy sitting sleeping (I dont miss that lol) xx
April 23, 2016
You look fab!!! Mine is in July. What tablets for swelling did you get? Would you recommend vitamin c tablets for healing? Thanks
April 24, 2016
Thank you - I am still only post op 5 days so will be uploading more pictures when its healed a little more and on day 10 when the stitches come out. He prescribed us all a vitamin C formula (C E Freulic) that you put on your head before and after the treatment which helps with hair regrowth and stuff I believe. This is all included in the cost of the surgery and the nurse also recommended some hair thickening treatment for after the stitches come out. (Minoxidil 4% scalp treatment) So ill will be buying some soon and hopefully can get some positive results! I have barely had any hair loss at all really (only really where the incision mark was and even then its really only very minimal). I was really worried about that but it hasn't been bad at all so far x
April 24, 2016
Okay thats a big relief! Lol. I really cant wait for the stitches to come out so I know how its gonna look soon! It it quite strange getting used to it all though. Did you get ruching at all on your forehead after the op? I have two little grooves where the incisions are and I am really hoping they go away once the stitches come out. I still feel really strange moving my eyebrows and stuff too - did you happen to use any products that maybe made your head feel a bit less tight or anything? also - did the C E Freulic work for you at all? I am getting so lazy with it now lol xx
April 24, 2016
Hi, it's really exciting having them removed, you'll see little red dots where the incision of stitches were, don't worry they will fade quickly. I didn't get rouching but I had a slight dent right in the centre of my forehead under the incision, not sure if you can see it on my photos, don't worry it will go, it may take bout 4 / 5 weeks to disappear totally. Yes moving the brows it's a real tightness weird isn't it? I didn't use anything apart from ce freulic, don't get lazy it does help, it helps with the redness of the scar too. I still use it every 3 days and I'm almost 4 months in! How's the feeling now? Have you had to take any of the strong painkillers ? X

April 24, 2016
Thank you :) - he is definitely a very good surgeon for this kind of operation so I would definitely check him out if you are interested in the procedure! I am 5 days post op at the moment but will be posting more pictures soon to show the final result and how it all looks when the stitches come out! x

Feeling a lot better than day 1. Nausea has subsided and i am gradually starting to eat normally again. Pain has gone down a lot (id say its a 3/10 at the moment) washing my hair and having a shower has made me feel a million times better! Starting to slowly feel human again

Hi, it looks amazing, bear with the recovery, the pills really help, you may feel a little worse 2 days after you finish the swelling and antibiotics, don't worry it's not pain it's like flu in the head, Woolley feeling but it passes, don't push yourself to quickly, you may feel ok but it's a massive head surgery and your body needs to recover. It took me almost 3 weeks to feel strong enough to work, depending on your job. Little things like talking on the phone wiped me out (silly!) the sensation on your head is so strange, I described it as a plaster cast thick soooo weird, mines still like it lol but you get used to it, the sensation will come back but can take upto 2 years.....great!!! But I wouldn't change a thing. :-) well done for taking the plunge, your new life begins here, you'll love going out not having to fix your fringed or looking at the pavement when the wind blows lol [RS bleep]
April 21, 2016
Yes! Thats exactly what i was thinking, my scalp feels sooo weird, like a wig or someone elses head?? How did you feel after your stitches came out? Did it look a lot better after they were removed? Thanks for your advice, i'm gonna make sure to keep rested up. How long ago did you have your surgery? I really hope i'm happy with my results xx
April 21, 2016
lol it is like a wig, a bloody thick one lol when the stiches came out it looked amazing, it was red for a day but the scar in some places was invisible, honestly it looked soooo much better than I had expected. Funny thing was I went into surgery with a fringe and few days later I realised it was touching my nose lol, my fringe is now almost to my jaw , I can put it behind my ears, put it up and not worry, it's amazing, no bad hair days, you'll love it. I had mine done on 7 january with Chris, you will love it, it looks amazing on your photos :-) xx
April 22, 2016
Yeah I've cut a side fringe to try and hide the stitches at the moment! Its getting solo itchy now but i guess that means its healing? Still haven't fully gotten my appetite back yet, cant wait til i can eat properly again! Yeah its weird it looks a lot thicker already! Are you getting sensation in your scalp back? Mine feels so weird still. Yours honestly looks amazing healed, it really suits your face xx
April 24, 2016
Looks brill! Congrats! On the left of your temple is their ruching where the stitches are?
April 24, 2016
Yes I think so, on the right hand side but this seems to be getting a bit better day by day - im hoping when the stitches come out it'll look a bit smoother! I have seen this on quite a few people post op though so its not worried me too much yet xx

Finally got the stitches removed! Felt so good getting them out. They said its healing nicely and i kept it clean. Its puckering a bit in places but this is due to fluid and will settle down eventually. Still being really careful, washing with baby shampoo and trying to massage the head regularly to stimulate the nerves. The top of my head is completely numb still which is a strange sensation but I am very pleased with how it looks. Bye bye massive forehead!

Looks great!
May 2, 2016
thank you! can't wait until its fully healed!
May 2, 2016
I've booked my procedure for July 5th. I've not been given a time but told it will be after 12pm, what time was yours at? Also, is my mum allowed to stay in the hospital and wait for me during the procedure? Thanks
May 2, 2016
Mine was at 10am but someone else went and had the procedure before me in the morning. Yeah anyone can come and wait for you during the surgery xx
May 2, 2016
Ah wonderful, thank you! Did you leave with bandages on and if so, who removed them? I'm going to take arnica and vitamin c tablets prior to surgery, would you recommend this?
May 3, 2016
They take all the bandages off before you leave and they give you a vitamin c formula to put on your hair 2 weeks before the operation and arnica while you are in the hospital so you don't need to get anything! Only take what they recommend too or they will tell you off! lol Are you doing it through LBPS?
May 3, 2016
Lol ok, I'll do everything by the book. Yes, dr Inglefield. Have got the vitamin c already. Someone on here said that they got told off for using regain, but that was advised by dr Inglefield .
May 3, 2016
Oh really? I was told to use minoxidil 4% to help my hair grow back. That and baby shampoo for the first 2 weeks. Just see what he says i suppose, he's the expert!
July 29, 2016
How is your healing process going? It has been a few months since your last update. Congrats on taking a brave step. I am also considering this surgery. Please keep us updated! :)
August 8, 2016
Ahh sorry i havent looged on here in ages! Its almost fully healed now and looks way better than the pics I put up! I will try and do an update with pics soon. The surgery was definitely worth it though!
September 4, 2016
Hi,
You look great! I was wondering if you could tell me a little bit about how everything is going now?
