Changed my hazel eyes to brown

UPDATED FROM m1020347

do not use latisse

This product has so many side effects; Please do not use it for the health of your eyes. The side effects that I suffered include: dry eye, irritation to the lash line, and worst of all, my irises (previously brown and green) are now all brown. If you have hazel eyes, this product brings out the brown in areas where you have lighter tones. My dry eye was severe and went away when I stopped using this prostaglandin (Latisse). It's not worth the health side effects! Just put on some mascara!!

Latisse Changes Iris Color

I used Latisse for 3 months and it changed my hazel eyes to brown, darkening the entire iris. The green parts of my eyes are now brown. DO NOT USE this product! The prostaglandins in this product can change your eye color, especially light brown and green eyes.

did this ever go back to normal after stopping???
No- but the other side effects did go away: most importantly the dry eye which was really uncomfortable. I didn't realize it was the eyelash growth product, and neither did my eye doctor who did a bunch of tests and concluded that my oil glands were diminished and that I would have dry eye for the rest of my life because you don't get them back. She put me on nightly meds for dry eye and 6 months of antibiotics for the stye I had developed from an eyelash that grew too far into my waterline - because of the prostaglandins as well - also I didn't realize it was the serum. But then when I stopped the eyelash serum, it seemed like I didn't need the meds for dry eye anymore, so I stopped, and haven't had dry eye again! I feel grateful that at least that wasn't permanent. Also the stye and interior hair finally went away.
Before taking Latisse, and then for a while GrandeLash (another prostaglandin analog) my eyes were part brown, party green, some blue.
The areas of my eyes that were green/blue now have a wash of brown, and the brown areas are obviously still brown.
These medications are eyesight-saving for people with glaucoma, but the side effects certainly don't seem worth it for such a minor cosmetic change. Needless to say, I feel strongly that they should not be over the counter, and shouldn't be prescribed for cosmetic reasons either.
