How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Im am 22 years old have a -3.00 prescription in both eyes.I have worn glasses since 4th grade and contacts/glasses since junior high.for the past three years I have been wanting to get the procedure done because my contacts sometimes bothered me and I didn't like my appearance in glasses. I found a griupon for lasik for both eyes for $1395 I quickly purchased it and called lasik vision institute the next day to schedule a consultation. My corneas were too thin for lasik and she said I would be a wonderful candidate for prk. Initial reaction what the hell is prk? She explained the process it didn't seem pretty, but I was determined and scheduled the surgery anyways. Reading reviews the week leading up to surgery was terrifying. When will I be able to see again? How much pain will I be in? Day of surgery I took both Xanax argued with the surgean asking him to double check my cornea thickness for prk! Gave up layed down and let him do his thing numbing drops went in he taped up my eye put in the clamp and started scraping away at my eye (felt nothing) then the laser felt nothing and since I had a cold I didn't smell anything neither :) the worst part was the cold water I felt no pain and not even any pressure with anything else. Only complaint though I felt like I was on an assembly line he'd call you in do his thing look at your eyes and send you out and call in the next person no reassuring words no any questions comments concerns? Just lay down! Leaving the facility wih my sunglasses on I didn't follow directions I kept my eyes open the hour drive back home biggggg mistake when I got home and layed down for my mandatory nap my eyes hurt tremendously I cried myself to sleep! I woke up and everything was better I did my round of eye drops ate something took a Tylenol pm and went back to bed. Next day woke up could see extremely well a slight blur to it but it was amazing and I felt nothing not even itchiness. Went to my first post op exam and they were pleasantly surprised at how much of the chart I could already read ( && warned me that my vision will fluctuate) now it's been over 48 hours and I'm seeing even clearer although I do have the itchy and foreign object feeling in my eyes but I'm able to watch tv play on my phone and computer while taking breaks here and there. So far so good!! Can't wait for these bandage contacts to come out though! It's currently Sunday and I get them out on Thursday,
