My vision is still very clear. My eyes have been getting dry but after putting a few drops in them of the artificial tears they feel fine. My second follow up went well they said my corneas are almost healed and my flaps are fine its going to take 6-8 months to fully close. No eye rubbing!! my vision is still 20/20. I am doing great. I work at a desk all day so its going to take some getting used to sitting back from the computer screen now that I can see. Still happy with my results so far.

Hi RS friends I just wanted to write a quick review on my LASIK procedure. I contacted The LASIK Vision Institute after hearing about them on the radio. I had a really bad astigmatism & I couldn't see far. I hated wearing contacts and never wore glasses. I felt Lasik was the best option for me. I made an appointment to see if I was a candidate for the surgery and yay me I had perfect eye pressure. The appointment time took a very long and felt drawn out. After my testing they sat me down with Dominic he is an awesome person. I put down my deposit and set my appointment. I went in on a Saturday at 11:30 for surgery and didn't leave until 5:00 pm. My right eye literally took 6 seconds and my left eye took 4 seconds. There were a lot of people there but not that many for the day to take this long for a minute of surgery. Any way before surgery they put you in a room and put on a hair cover and booties over your shoes, they also had you a bag of supplies which contained two eye protecting glasses a black & clear pair. Then they give you a volume. You walk into a cold surgery room and your handed a teddy bear. He was so soft and wearing a blackhawks shirt so cute haha. The girl tells you if you feel pressure just squeeze him. So I laid on this chair and the Surgeon was very nice! He placed me under a machine and put a thing on my eye that put pressure on my eye and made my vision go black once that was done he used these two light pieces that felt like feathers and i felt him brushing up my flap then he did the laser and brushed my flap back down and it was done. It was PAINLESS!!! I wasn't scared it did not hurt and it was so quick. I got off the chair and said that's it? He said yes your all done I was like cool okay and then left. My vision was blurry and my eyes were very sensitive in sunlight I put my sunglasses on and was driven home. You are supposed to sleep for 5 hours after surgery which i could not to and it really is important that you sleep because i began to feel miserable. I laid down on the couch with just my eyes closed and then i tried to open them and they were glued shut. I felt my way to the bathroom and found my eye drops at squirted them all over my eyes and dabbed with a tissue and got them to open. They were extremely sensitive at this point. I went to sleep after this and woke up at about 8pm. My vision was amazing i could see so clear i looked out the window and seen the address of the house across the street it was amazing!! I never experienced this before. I had to sleep with protector shields which are uncomfortable at first but you get used to them. The next day it just got better. Today is day 4 and my vision is still sharp and I am extremely happy with my decision. I use my eye drops as directed and my eyes feel fine. I hope this helps someone get a better understanding of the procedure and now its a good option if your not up for glasses and contacts. I will post a few pics and don't mind the bruising in my eyes that will go away soon. Aside from the long waits I suggest you get there really early and beat the rush that way your in and out. The staff is VERY informative and helpful. They are very affordable to.
