SMILE Surgery Gone Wrong.
If I could go back in time. I truly would! I was so excited to have lasik or SMILE for my high prescription and the day of, I even thought maybe I don’t need this but I decided to go through it. It’s been a living hell ever since.
2 weeks later, I still suffered from blurry vision out of one eye the other eye was actually great. But I developed epithelial ingrowths in both eyes, residual astigmatism, went from being myopic to farsighted and previous strabismus I had was back. I had flap lift and wash out to the left eye and my right eye had cells lasered off. I have glasses and contacts that totally don’t correct my vision and makes it difficult to do simple tasks. I can’t enjoy the things I love at the moment and eventually may need a touch up procedure but I’m opting for scleral lenses. I additionally have HOAs glares, starbursts. You name it, I got it.
I recommend against surgery.
