Not worth the risk of losing your vision

Worst Decision Ever

$5,000
Everyone I knew raved about their results so I decided to go for it after years of bad vision. Long story short, it was the worst decision I have ever made. It was painful, especially in one eye (the provider brushed this off though), vision was worse after the procedure, and I have had so many complications since the surgery that I don’t have enough space or time to write it all. Aside from the shooting pains in my eyes and the constant dry eye that feels like someone poured sand in them, I have also dealt with uveitis since two months after the procedure. Uveitis is inflammation in the eye. Since then, I have had to constantly be on medicine and eye drops for inflammation, had surgery for glaucoma that suddenly developed after lasik, and had to have a cataract removed and lens replaced, all in one eye, the eye that hurt during the procedure. None of this existed before lasik. Oh, and on a good day, the vision in that eye might get to 20/300 but normally stays at 20/400. The other eye is exactly the same as it was before, 20/25, and the prescription strength has went back to what it was pre lasik. I actually didn’t want to have the procedure in my right eye but the doctor insisted it needed it and I needed to just get it over with. This was a clinic that has multiple facilities in different states with their main doctor claiming to have performed thousands of lasik surgeries. So be warned, it is not worth the risk of losing your vision. I learned that the hard way.
