Overwhelmed with regret after new tattoo 6 days ago
So I got a tattoo 6 days ago, which I've wanted for years. The outline of the underboob part is completed and I love that part. I know when it's finished I will love it. My problem is I just kind of decided to have the sternum part on a whim while I was there. I've been having over whelming feelings of regret. I keep breaking down and asking myself why the hell have I done this. At the moment I feel as though the sternum pattern is totally clashing with the skull and wings and isn't blending where it meets the skull. I'm only 6 days in and have already made a consultation appointment about laser removal. I'd like to hear opinions of people maybe going through similar situations and honest opinions of what you actually think of the progress of the tattoo at the moment. I love the skull and wings I just feel as though the top part has completely ruined it. I'm obsessed with symmetry and the bottom of the pattern isn't completely symmetrical. I have been crying, taking it out on the people I care about and I felt that bad about it last night that I actually started praying and begged if a god did exist I would do anything for it to disappear! Am I going crazy? ?I have a look of class about me, I'm an attractive 25 year old woman and I feel as though the pattern on my sternum makes me look common and has ruined my body. I don't know what to do.

Hello!
I love you whole tattoo but plenty of people told me they loved mine and yet I'm getting it removed. It's your personal thought that counts and obviously you are having second thoughts.
It's funny because the sternum bit would probably be faster to remove than the underbody skull. The stuff on your sternum is mostly just shading rather than deep lines. I'm thinking it could be removed in as little as 3 to 5 sessions. Or at least very, very faded.
I have deep lines AND shading on my chest. My shading was extremely dark, but was the first bit to start fading. It's the lines that are going to take me awhile.
Take some time to think about it, feel free to bounce questions off of me or anyone else here, and let us know what you decided.

I think you did the right thing for you , mostly because of placement it limited what you cold wear, and thank-you for documenting it
Thank you! I originally got a tattoo on my chest with the idea that I would be showing it often because I like tattoos and was expecting to be proud of it, so I wasn't too worried about clothing. However, now that it looks like a horrible mess I'm regretting the placement lol. Oh well such is life. :P
Thanks for checking in out!

I do it have any tattoos and am not sure how I even came across your post! However I saw your photo before I read your post and the first thing I thought was how much I liked the part that you are saying you don't like! I think it is very symmetrical and it adds an organic looking signed to balance the skull. I think you need to try and not think about it for a while. Laser removal would not return fully the way you were before and I don't think you'd be happy. How about just don't do ANYTHING right now. If doing things in a whim makes you regretful than so too would jumping into laser removal! Just chill out for a bit, focus on the other parts of your life that are not on your body, and I think you will eventually love your tatoo as it becomes a part of you.
I have no feelings regarding the skull and wings, but my concern îs what may happen if you ever decide to have a child.
The skull îs in area where Your belly will grow and depending on how big you get the tattoo will stretch with your tummy .
A good friend of mine had a beautiful bird on her hip.
After her pregnancy one wing withered and fell.
Ask about this aspect.
