They Did the Job

You make an appointment with a consultant and pay in full before you even see the surgeon, who then tells you what he thinks you need. I felt like it was upselling. He told me I would have a lot of saggy skin and suggested I go for the tummy tuck instead of the lipo but I declined. Even though I am 58 I don't have any saggy skin on my body nothing flapping anywhere so I was confident my skin would recoup and it did so far. I am Indian and I do amber light therapy so my skin is in really good shape.
I paid for my procedure in cash. You pay a deposit when you have your consultation and pay in full the day you meet the surgeon (before they let you back to speak with him lol). They changed my meet the surgeon day and it just so happened I left my phone at home that day. When I got home I had two text messages and 5 missed calls from them asking me to call asap. When I called they said they were expecting me in the office that day to pay. I reminded them that they changed my appointment and did they still expect me to pay in full without me having met the surgeon yet? Like wth. This made me wonder if I should go through with the surgery. I honestly felt like I was in a surgery mill. I was seriously praying for this to work out well.
They advertise evening hours but you can only have your consultation later. All doctor, nurse and surgery appointments are before 3 Monday to Friday although I heard some surgeries are on Saturdays.
The pricing was not as advertised. They said they were having a special where you get one area free and I don't feel like I got anything free. They give you a price add an astronomical surgeons fee and supply fee then discount that and it comes to what they advertise as the average price per area with nothing actually coming out to be free. I had upper and lower stomach, waist and inner thighs done.it was about $7,000.
After surgery they take photos and you speak with a nurse. You don't see the doctor again. All questions go through the nurse or by text messages. You don't get a direct line to call.
I have been getting lymphatic massages so my healing is coming along very well. They don't tell you that you should get these massages or try to do them yourself but it is a very important part of reducing the swelling and reducing lumps.
Now with all that said. Before surgery, I could grab a whole handful of stomach and I had fat oozing out or my bra in the back, and muffin top was a mild thing to call the fat I had going on. Now that's all gone. They took 2.5 canisters of fat out. Pain during the procedure was minimal. I was awake, the surgeon is really nice and we joked the whole way through the procedure. They gave me some pills to relax and I couldn't stop grinning lol. I really need some more happy pills.
Oh and one last thing. I had the worst case of constipation ever. It was terrible. I read on this common site. It comes from the pain meds. I took a stool softener with stimulants for 3 days and they did not help. I had to finally take a laxative and it worked. Reluctantly. I don't know if there is any way to avoid that.
Anyway, I look great. Thanks, Dr.K. He did a great job and is nice. My nurse was J. She was great also.
I do have one line of fat I am worried about between the lower stomach and pubic area. It's like a 1" line of hard fat. My massage therapist has been working with it but she says I might have to go back in for an adjustment.
So there you have it. My story in a nutshell.
