Money Hungry Operations
I recently purchased a laser hair removal from Groupon. First let me start by saying Im someone who tans at the salon year round due to seasonal depression. I have the same skin color year round. I was happy with my first two visits as I was noticing my hair getting minimally thinner. During my 3rd session I told the consultant that she could bump up the laser setting was told ‘no because I was too tan.’ Which made no sense to me, since I’ve had the same skin tone during my previous visits and during my last session the lady bumped up the setting to one that made an actual difference in my unwanted hair. I was a little disappointed but hoped it would still do what it needed to. She then proceeded to try to sell me an additional package for $400+. I was a little astonished that she would try to sell me something when I’m already paying for this service and have only seen minimal results after the first two visits.
So, when today I went in for my appointment, I was asked by the consultant if I am noticing a difference. I explained how I was not very satisfied with my previous visit and have not noticed a difference since then. Again, the lady told me that the laser would not recognize my tanned skin and she would bump down the laser setting today if I were to get it done. She suggested I not tan the area I’m needing the laser hair removal done and come back in November. So I said I would call them and left without getting my treatment. I’m now sitting in my car after driving 35 minutes for an appt that I scheduled 4 weeks ago.
To anyone considering going to this establishment, I’d advise against this place as they are a money hungry business that over promises and under delivers. They’ll try to sell you more than what you need just to get you to come back to spend more money.
