6 weeks after 4th treatment of 8
There's no longer coarse hairs anywhere. 3 to 4 weeks after 4th treatment 90% or more of hair was gone. At 6 weeks this interesting very fine, light brown hair has grown in quite evenly. I expect after 5th treatment it will all go away, then hopefully not return after 7th or certainly 8th treatment.
Should mention that during 4th treatment a new laser tech was giving the treatment guided by one I had previously seen. I was first told this would be the case while walking back to the room, but wasn't asked if this was ok. Kind of felt I had to agree. Definitely made it a different feel as they were taking to each other as if I wasn't there/couldn't hear them.

Post 2nd Treatment
There was some some regrowth leading up to the second appointment. One patchy area and the rest pretty sparse with short dark hairs growing back.
Two weeks after it's almost all gone. I have noticed some "pepper spots" which are dead follicles where you can only see the top of the dead hair, level with the skin. Good way to get rid of these is exfoliate with something like St. Ives Apricot scrub or tease out with some quality tweezers. I got Ultra Precision Slant Tweezer from https://www.tweezerman.com I have also noticed tiny blond hairs which I'm not sure were there before. Not too concerned about those though.

Brazilian full hair removal - male
Background: Purchased a package of eight Brazilian/peri-anal laser hair removal treatments with Ideal Image, aiming to remove all hair from that region. I've never shaved down there, even before any appointments. I had about five Brazilian waxes over 12 months prior to the laser removal. I loved the fresh, clean feeling but hated the ingrowns and breakouts. I did have one bikini laser hair removal treatment at ProMD Health in February 2024. That was before starting at Ideal Image in May 2024.
Cost: The package was $2,650, amortized at $150 per month, with no interest or credit fee.
Treatment One: I felt very nervous on the way to the clinic. However, there was really nothing to worry about. Intake forms had already been done online, so it was only a 5-minute talk beforehand with the practitioner to confirm everything. It was just me and the practitioner in the room the whole time. There's a little private changing room off the laser treatment room. You undress from the waist down and put on a paper gown. The position is almost flat on your back in a butterfly, with the soles of your feet touching, knees bent, and spread. The laser is a gun that sprays cold air after every shot, which is quite soothing. Overall, it's less painful than waxing. You do smell the burning hair, though. There was no need for me to do anything on the front other than lay there. I did let out a little yelp of pain on the underside of the scrotum, which we had a chuckle about. She said, "I don't really have these parts, so I'm not sure where the sensitive bits are." For behind, you have to lay on your stomach and pull your cheeks apart. Your reflex is to clench, so you have to concentrate on relaxing. The treatment was no more than 15 minutes, and the whole process was less than 30 minutes from walking in to walking out. I like the professional, but matter-of-fact, production-line efficiency of Ideal Image. It makes it feel very normal and not awkward at all.
After Treatment One: These pictures are 11 weeks after my treatment at ProMD Health (white background) and then 2 weeks after first treatment at Ideal Image (green background). The Ideal Image practitioner called the day after to ask how I was doing and if I had any questions. Appreciated the follow up. I mentioned that some hair was burnt and withered and other areas look the same as before. She explained this was normal, every area had been treated evenly and all hair doesn't respond the same way. After 4 days hair started shedding. Most intense was 7 to 10 days. After 14 days I can't imagine anymore coming out. Down to about 10% or so hair left. The practitioner assured me over 8 visits everything would eventually be gone.
My own Q&A: I did have a few questions and concerns before starting so hope these help;
Q: Are you supposed to tip?
A: No, not at all.
Q: Will I have to hold/pull my skin down there to help get to all the hair?
A: No, infact there's minimal touching, even by the practitioner.
Q: What if I can't handle the pain or discomfort and want to stop? Can I take a short break?
A: Many people take a short 5 to 10 second break. No problem at all.
Q: What if I accidentally get aroused during the treatment? Do I say sorry or just ignore?
A: You're barely touched at all so the chances of an accident are almost none. Plus it was one of least sexual encounters of my life. She may as well have been zapping my little finger.
Q: My anus is gross to me. I feel terrible someone else has to look at it.
A: It's not a big deal as long as you shower, exfoliate, and wash thoroughly before leaving for your appointment.
