WORTH IT$600
As long as I can remember I have trimmed my pubic hair.
It had always been itchy and generally uncomfortable for me. Now, I don't even shave my face all the time but, being the hairy guy that I am, I had to trim downstairs every single day. If I didn't, I would have a very itchy day. This was both time consuming and dangerous. A sharp object like a razor is not really a welcomed item in that vicinity.
I would always leave a neatly groomed patch of hair on top but with each proceeding shaving it would invariably get smaller and smaller until it looked like a ridiculous little soul patch. Then I would shave it completely off and start over. I began this cycle when I was an early teen and today I am 50 years old. A LOT of time wasted trimming my pubes.
Then one day I read an article that stated Brazilians were becoming popular with men, I think they called it the "balls n all." YES! I did my own internet research and found that most women prefer men to have a trimmed up pubic area. About 8 to 10% of women prefer no hair at all and the rest wanted the area trimmed to varying degrees. On the other end of the spectrum about 10 percent of women like a big old Sasquatch muff. Using a popular website where you can question the public I asked "would you think it strange for a man to get a Brazilian?" It came back about a 60-40 split in favor of the Brazilian. I then checked with my wife who said I could do whatever I wanted to do with my junk. I love that woman! So I decided to move ahead with a Brazilian that included buttcrack, taint, balls and leaving a groomed muff upstairs. (Is there another word for man muff, I don't know?) Going onto Groupon' I found a great deal with Second Street Medical Spa in Long Beach California. Instead of using the deal, I contacted them via email. It took them about a week to reply but they did and answered all my questions and concerns. One of my concerns was that their laser technicians were all female and I was a little embarrassed. They explained to me that, in California, a laser technician must be a registered nurse. For some reason the fact that the laser technician would be a nurse calmed my embarrassment, figuring that nurses have probably seen all kinds of stuff and my "stuff" wouldn't be that big of a deal to them. So I schedule my first appointment back in August 2017 (I am writing this post treatment.)

This business is now called Regenerative Medical Spa. I've never met with the doctor at this location though I have seen her working there. I can say all the nurses who helped me were terrific, Sadiyah, Jennifer, Giovanni, Laura and Michelle(?) were super professional and caring, they put me at ease. I have read in other reviews that scheduling by phone was a huge pain but I only made my appointments in the office for the next visit and had no problems at all. The only treatment I received here was laser hair removal; I feel comfortable recommending them for that.

Brozillian First Visit

I set up my first appointment. The first available was three or four weeks out. Not wanting to wait that long I told them I was available to fill in for cancellations and lucky me they had one the next day. So here we go! I was instructed to shave the areas to be lasered.
Second Street Medical Spa is upstairs in a small multi-tenant building on 2nd Street and Covina Avenue in Long Beach California. There isn’t a parking lot but there is plenty of street parking on Covina Avenue. Just park up the street a ways closer to the Toledo Avenue to keep away from crowded 2nd Street.
They told me to get there a little early for initial paperwork. Upon entering I found a cozy small waiting room, the office area and three ‘exam’ rooms. I was led to a room and instructed to drop my drawers and lay down. Embarrassingly I did as directed. The nurse came in and she was gorgeous. Now I’m feeling even more embarrassed and uneasy about the whole thing. But, she very professionally explained the procedure and asked if I had any questions. I didn’t so she began buy placing a laser gel over the area. First, she did the muff area then testes, then the taint and about 2” onto either leg. Then the most uncomfortable, she had me hold up my legs like a baby getting his diaper changed and zapped my butt crack. I have a new appreciation of what women go through in the name of beauty! The whole thing took no more than five to seven minutes. The nurse then asked me if I’d like to get my stomach done? It had been a long while since my happy trail had turned onto a sprawling not-so-happy forest. I hadn’t considered that it may look bad with a hairy stomach and clean naughty bits. I agreed and she also zapped my complete stomach. I smelt some burning hairs. Satisfying. The procedure did not hurt, it felt as you may have read elsewhere, like being snapped with a rubber band. The area was red and tender when completed. I went into the office and purchased six stomach treatment having already used the first one. I set up my next appointment five weeks in advance and headed back to work. I've not posted any pictures finding them in bad taste.

One-week post procedure #1

The nurse had told me it would take about a week for my hairs to start falling out. Here I am one week after and none of them are falling out. In fact, it looks as though they are growing in! I can't wait, so I get a set of tweezers and give one of them a little tug. To my surprise, it comes right out without any resistance and it looks as though the root is destroyed. Then another and another. Success! Again, a week passed and still the other hairs are staying put. Well I can’t pull them out one at a time with my tweezers, that would take forever. Time to get ingenious, strapping a piece of masking tape across my pelvis area and then pulling it off and voila, all gone! What’s left behind is nice smooth skin without stubble. I’m happy with the result of the first treatment.
