It's all grown back! I'd say it took about 6 months to get there and I'm very happy with it. I was worried but hopefully this update will give people relieve and help calm their fears...........................

Did your clinician not tell beforehand that laser hair removal is a series treatment requiring several treatments to completely remove all hair and not an instant result? From your first photograph and review when you complain about patchiness I'd say your first treatment was very good and that had you continued you'd have been delighted by the end result.
It was too high up my neck the first time. Didnt look natural at all.

Big Mistake for Facial LHR on Men

I had LHR done under my neck and my cheek lines and I immediately regret it. I have horribly patchiness under my neck and it looks very unnatural :(. I had my one and only treatment done almost 5 weeks ago. (i purchased a package of 6 as well). I do not plan on going back so this is my one and only treatment. Will my patchiness grow in??? If so how long would I have to wait? I'm getting very anxious about this :(. Hopefully any guys that read this will not consider this under their neck. If they do then make sure to not go up nearly as high as i did on my neckline. :(.

Hi, I wouldn’t worry too much since you only had one treatment. The whole idea of having six or more treatments, is to traumatize the hair follicles, through repeated exposure to the laser. You HAVE to return every 4-6 weeks for treatments to do this. Men’s facial hair is very thick & coarse and would take multiple treatments to have lasting results. Give it a few months. I’m positive it will grow back in. You’ll just be patchy in the meantime. Even if for some strange reason the hair doesn’t return completely to its pre-lasered state, in time it still should fill in and be less noticeable. It’s a good thing you realized you didn’t like the results after just one treatment. Maybe you can have the remaining money for the 5 sessions returned since you’re unhappy with the results & won’t continue. Good luck and I hope it all works out.
I sure hope so! thanks for the encouragement. I'll update everyone at the 12th week mark which would be 8/18.
I'm no pro, but I've had a few laser hair removal sessions on my legs already, and I was told patchiness is to be expected- and I got some as well. It destroys some of the hair follicles a little at a time, so some continue to grow, hence the need for multiple sessions. Remember, hair grows in cycles! Maybe give your laser technician a call or another visit to show them the patchiness, and ask if it's normal and for a better explanation.
I did call them. I would have appreciated them letting me know about the patchiness BEFORE they did anything. I'm coming to them, the experts, and I expect to be informed of this. That was my mistake.
Hey you can read my update and you’ve had only one. I’ve had six on my neck and I like the look of it rn. Most of it is gone and the rest is easy to shave. I’d just trim it and it’d look smooth. Beard is another story. One needs at least 12x on beard and even then it won’t be gone completely. Maybe %70 and the rest would be so fine and easy to shave but some people can turn it into a big problem in their heads. If you think it’s not gonna end well for you just stop. Even if you had 3 it’d all come back
thanks for responding. I'll let you know what happens but right now I'm not not touching the neck. It's too patchy for my taste. It looks a bit unnatural. If it hopefully grows in then i'll start it back up but I'll make sure to go alot lower than before.
Ultimately things get worse before they get better, I was explained to me that you lose approximately 10-15% of hair after every cycle, considering hair grows in cycles, you are expected to shave in between treatments, otherwise patchiness is expected if you re omg to lose about 15% of your hair every 4-6 weeks. As a woman, I don't want to shave my upper lip, but it only makes sense to deal with the unpleasantness temporarily, in order to reach a greater goal. It's kind of pointless for you to stop receiving treatments based off you not liking your results after the first treatment. Of course you wouldn't like results that are only 10-15% complete. I suggest that you stay strong, and continue treatments in order to reach your Final Goal of smoothness, don't quit now! I think you would be more disappointed with the results if you quit now, and you would be satisfied with the results if you continued receiving treatments now
How is your neck now
