Laser WARNING!

I had sclerotherapy (3rd time) & also a 1064 laser treatment done to clean up the veins on my legs. Many weeks later, I booked another appointment with Dr. Pozner and complained that I spent over 1k dollars and did not think my leg should still have the spider veins and the dark spots present. Dr. Pozner suggested another laser to treat the veins on my leg. I think it was called Genesis, but I trusted him and didn't discuss the exact type of laser he used. After his treatment, I developed red circular spots (that look like cigarette-size burns) all over my leg. Some even turned to blisters. The marks are not fading, and some are turning into red 'scabs' with bright pink underneath. I'm terrified that I will be left with these scars and have no idea how long this will take to heal. I sent three emails to Sanctuary Medical Center, Below are the last two, and I have yet to get a response back from Dr. Pozner who did the procedure.

Hello, It's Day 9. Would Dr. Pozner still call this aggressive laser? Several doctors on Real Self and others I know have never seen this reaction with laser for spider veins. Should I be prescribed a burn medication? Obviously, the settings were too high. I would like to know how to proceed.

Hello, I was hoping you could pass this feedback on to Dr. Pozner. I thought he would want to keep track of the procedure he did for my spider veins on 12/21. Also, in the future, he should warn patients of extensive downtime and how to treat the area post-procedure. He never warned me about the sun getting on it, which is strange since we live in South Florida. The only thing he said to me on his way out the door while I was still on the table face down was, happy holidays, it's free.

I did find this on Real Self, and it seems to apply to my situation:

Answer: Leg vein laser burns

Those are burns from the laser where the settings were obviously much too high. It would be best if you kept them out of the sun. Do not pick at them. Keep the spots well gooped up with Vaseline or Aquaphor. As the sites heal make sure you do not expose them to sunlight and wear good sunscreen in the coming months because the new skin underneath will be very susceptible to burning, which will make them a different color later on. Make sure you also contact the office that treated you so they know the settings were much too high and they don't burn you again in the future. You could also ask if they would call you in a prescription for betamethasone ointment (to use instead of the Aquaphor or Vaseline), which can help more with burns.
