Switched to Picosure after 8 Q Switched YAG Laser Treatments (NaturaLase) Las Vegas, NV

I've had about 8 treatments with the Naturalase Q Switched YAG laser and wanted to switch it up and try something new. Not that I had any complaints about the Naturalase but I had heard that the Picosure was awesome and the newest thing so I wanted to try it and see what I thought. I will say that I had thought my tattoo would have been gone by now with the Q Switched. The other place I went to prior to Surgical Dermatolgy & Laser Center had estimated it would take fewer treatments than what I've had but this is a common story, so I hear. I'm not mad, I have patience. I just hope that between all of these lasers eventually it will be gone. I'm willing to do the work and go through the pain.

The Picosure was the least painful experience I've had though. I think it's because the place I went to injects you with the lidocaine. That's my first time doing that but it was virtually pain-free. At first I was weary of the needle because I hate needles but I barely felt the injections or the procedure that followed. I'd definitely recommend doing it that way after having experienced it now. As far as the Picosure results, as I stated below, I not sure since I just had it done yesterday but I will come back and update y'all once I know more. You have my word.

The office was clean and nice, the people that worked there friendly. I met the lady that was going to be administering my laser treatment, Chelsea Davis. She was great. She took the time to explain the procedure and answer all of my questions. The treatment was pain free and went well. Now it's just a waiting game. I'm anxious to see my results and will report back with more photos and info after every treatment but so far so good.

Good luck with the Picosure. Did you experience frosting? I have been doing Picosure and the first few times I was injected with lidocaine, but the medicine was preventing the skin from frosting and blanching. They were using a 3mm spot size and boost at 100%, but there wasn't much change at all. Once we decided to do the treatments without the lidocaine injections, I started seeing results. Just something to keep in mind... Good luck with the treatments!! I look forward to hearing about your results.

Oh yeah? I'm not familiar with the term "frosting". I haven't blistered if that's what you mean. I wonder what it's like without the numbing. You are hardcore. Think I can do it? I'm scared!

Before & After Pics

I just wanted to upload some before pics of my tattoo removal journey so you have a little reference of where I started. The previous tattoo removal place I went to was called Erased Laser Tattoo Removal in Las Vegas, NV. They're a good place too... They just don't have the Picosure and I wanted to try something new.

After pics of my tenth laser tattoo removal session

Just had my second Picosure and tenth overall treatment with laser. As you can see from the pics, it's working great. I'm guessing that my daisy on my toe and Winnie the Pooh tattoo will be pretty much gone after this treatment, if not all the way. It was a good sign when the laser lady almost skipped out on doing the treatment on Pooh because she didn't see it. I had to point him out to her. Tigger is fading but he's taking his sweet time. The daisy with the peace sign in the middle is going too but I may have some hypopigmentation back there. Oh well. Overall, I am happy with my results and glad that I switched it up by doing the Picosure. I'm going to continue on with that laser until further notice. If you have questions or comments, feel free to leave them for me. I'd love to know what you think. Am I just guilty of wishful thinking or do you think it's really working?

Good luck on your Picosure treatments. Pretty sure they will help with the removal og the colours. You are very lucky to get injected with lidocaine. I will try numbing cream for my next treatment since it hurt too much to bare the last time. Couldn't finish my whole tattoo.

Yeah, someone had suggested that injecting the numbing cream prevents the laser from going in as deep and says it prevents it from blistering. I didn't blister last time but I'm thinking it's probably because my tattoo has had so many treatments at this point that maybe that doesn't happen anymore. I'm really not sure. I'm no expert. The lady gave me the option to go without when I addressed that issue about the blistering with her but then I thought that this could be someone's idea of a sick joke to make me experience way more pain than necessary and I declined. I suppose if I'm curious I can test the theory but from all accounts I have read, the Picosure is no fun at all without the numbing. I can only imagine! Major props to you for getting it without. You're hardcore!! Yes, definitely get the numbing. I mean what's the point if you can't even finish the treatment because it hurts too much? I say swallow up your tough guy/girl points and make it as comfortable as possible. I certainly have nothing to prove and I can testify that it still works when you get the numbing. May not be as fast but the jury's still out and I'm not willing to be the guinea pig on that after what I've read from people like you.

Just had a treatment to finish the rest of my tattoo a few hours ago. This time I used emla for 1 hour before the treatment and it did wonders. The jury is still out on the results. Hope it fades as much with numbing cream, but it was intolerable without. Will use it next time as well.

I am sure you will be fine as far as it working. I've done numbing the whole way and mine is almost gone. Some people are from the no pain no gain school. I'm not always sure that is the right way. And in your case, it's pointless if it impedes your progress.

Your progress looks great so far. How is your tattoo removal going since your last update? Have you seen additional fading?

Thank you very much. My treatment has sort of been on pause lately but I've noticed that it still fades more over time. It's still not completely gone though. I do need to go and hit it a few more times I think. Maybe try a different laser while I'm at it. I will definitely post again before and afters next time I go.

Right? I feel like it's barely there now. I haven't done any treatments in ages. I need to do another one though. I started with the Q Switched. Then I switched to the Picosure. It definitely takes time. I've done 10 treatments so far. I think it works best when you space them out. You see the tattoos keep fading as time goes on. Mine are barely noticeable now which is why more treatments haven't been more of a priority. I promise I'll post more pics when I go next time. My tattoos were over 15 years old when I started.
