I had an eyebrow transplant yesterday at VIP plastic surgery. I did a lot of research about the procedure before proceeding and I was very comfortable to have the procedure although I was not fully prepared. Most things I read said their was very little down time, however for me that doesn't seem to be the case as my eyes are almost swollen shut. The procedure was painful in my opinion. The bulk of the pain coming from the strip of hair they remove from the back of your head. Dr K and Lee placed the maximum amount of grafts possible (over 400 per eye), they were kind and confident, and I'm very excited to see the results as they are not instant gratification like some procedures.

I think that it was worth it, however my eyebrows are very sparse still. Will for sure need a touch up procedure. The hairs grew in exactly the way they were placed. There were no secret hairs like they portrayed or extra hair growth. What you see at placement is what you get. The hairs for sure should have been placed closer together. Cannot wear eyebrows without makeup. Also big difference between the left and right as was also visible at time of placement. Seems the hairs on one side were not placed as well as the other directionally. Not sure if it was because it was such a long procedure or if it’s simply because they placed them from the same position as the right. Seems you would need to move your body to place properly on the right and the left, but I don’t do eyebrow transplants so I couldn’t say for sure....makes sense though. I have tried to schedule my touch up but they refuse to even discuss it until 12 months. Consulted with other doctors that say at 9 months I will experience almost no more new growth. Will update again at 12 months. I will do a second procedure as well to obtain the results I was looking for

Dr Epstein (in Miami) and Dr Dauer and Dr Champagne (both in LA) all have pretty great results. I'm deciding between travelling to see on of them for my procedure to fix the microblading I had done on my brows.

It's been a few months; did things get better for you? I'm dreading the waiting period (it's only been 2 weeks for me). I would love to know how your progress is going. I feel that I will need a touch up based on sparse areas as I left the facility.

Had a touch up a year later and it was worth everything

Very very pleased. A second procedure was needed, but maybe not for everybody because I had NO hair. Only suggestion I have is go to the person with the most experience doing eyebrows. You will be happy! Life changing.

Thanks for your review. I had two eyebrow transplantations but my hairs really stick out so much that people have been asking me what the hell I did with my eyebrows. Do you have any idea how to make them lay on the skin instead of sticking out? It really makes me so conscious about them the whole time, and it affects me psychologically :(
