Just had my 4 month post-op appointment and I couldn't be happier! Dr. Edwards is very pleased with the results as am I. I will be seen at the end of the summer to see if a slight revision might be needed to bring the fold up under my left breast. But that may or may not need to be done.
I work within the medical field and have many clients/friends that have amazing contacts with several plastic surgeons within the Las Vegas/Henderson, NV area. I must say, that nothing has been more stressful than searching for the perfect plastic surgeon. Perhaps its because I have high standards or the fact that I find it difficult to look past many PS's larger than life egos... but if this journey has taught me anything, its to go with your gut.
All of this started right after the birth of my 2nd child. At first I was on a quest to find the perfect surgeon for a "mommy makeover". After a lot of hard work and a 75lb+ weightloss, I am no longer a candidate for a TT and so the search continued for the best Breast/Body doctor in Las Vegas and the surrounding areas.
I spent hours researching dozens of PS. After visiting numerous PS in Las Vegas, I was referred to Dr. Michael C. Edwards by a friend of mine. She is married to one of the most reputable orthopedic surgeons within the area and had a BA done by Dr. Edwards several years prior.
I must say that I was hesitant to have yet another consultation and felt nothing short of being overwhelmed. Well, I sure am glad I made the phone call to make an appointment to meet with him. First of all, Dr. Edward's staff is the MOST professional staff of all the offices that I "interviewed". Yet, with their professionalism they listened to all my questions and concerns and made me feel like every question of mine was relevant.
Now for why you are reading this review... NONE of the other PS that I spoke with went into as much detail, and spent as much time with me as Dr. Michael C. Edwards did. I think he could sense how overwhelmed I felt, and really took the time to explain all of my options. My first consultation was nearly 2 hours in length. He was the only physician that used state of the art computer software program to digitally explain his recommended treatment regimen. I found this extremely usefully considering I am a visual person. Most importantly he is extremely confident, yet humble in his approach with patients.
After doing further research on Dr. Edwards, I found out the following information.
1. Dr. Edwards has been named one of the "Top Plastic Surgeons in America". (You read that right... In AMERICA!)
2. He was ELECTED as the President of "The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery" by his peers.
3. He has been reognized in well respected publications as a "Top Doctor" within Las Vegas over the years.
I also should note, that throughout my quest for the perfect PS, and my weightloss journey, I have been back to vist Dr. Michael C. Edwards on three separate occasions. As my weightloss continued, so did that shape and size of my breasts. I wanted to be confident in my decision as to whether or not to have implants in combination with a breast lift. Each time I returned for another consulation, Dr. Edwards took the time to answer more questions. Never did I feel rushed or like I was wasting his time, he truly is a class act. And although I am nervous about my surgery, I have never been more confident in my decision with the BEST Plastic Surgeon in Las Vegas, Dr. Michael C. Edwards!
So I'm on vacation... and out of nowhere... I delevoped a hard nodule underneath my left nipple. And on the surface you can see a blood blister. I'm out of town for the next week but definitely need to get an appt with my PS. I mean... What if my nipple falls off?? Wtf?? Has this ever happened to anyone?
Oh no, just when you think you're out of the woods, right? How's it now? Any change? Have you been using any kind of scar treatment that could have caused it? Maybe you can email a pic to your PS since you can't get there.
I hope it's getting better and you're still having a nice vacation.
Right breast is dropping some. It's funny because in person they seem to me to be perfect. Then when I take a picture it's clear to me there is still some dropping and healing that needs to be done. I still toss and turn at night trying to get comfortable and still wake up with the achy morning boob. Otherwise all is good! Here in my latest pic...
Wow wow wow ! I've been following your progress and your review - and have to tell you that you look INCREDIBLE !!! Thank you for your info. Mine is 3/9 and so encouraging to see your results at three months. Thank you x
