You look amazing! I have a lot of the same issues you were having and hope that explanting will relieve some of my problems. Twenty days to go for me! Thank you for updating! Hope you have a great weekend!

Thank you! I am sorry to hear you are having a lot of the same issues. I hope you get better quickly after your surgery. Good luck and keep us posted on how it goes! Have a great weekend :)

Great results, did you have to have any kind of re-constructive work or did they literally take them out? Did you have any muscle damage? what does the breast feel like? sorry for all the questions but im having a love/hate relationship with mine..sometimes I wish id never had gone down the breast augmentation road x

Hi Tracy, I can't answer for Tiff...but I can say that after removing implants, your breasts feel the same they did prior to implants -natural, warm, soft and lovely. Sure there is healing that needs to take place as with any surgery, but it amazing what your body does when it no longer is fighting with a foreign object. Mine were submuscular and I'm very much looking forward to getting back to the gym and having my breasts move in a natural way again. Unless you are getting a lift, there isn't really any reconstruction major that takes place with an explant.

Hi Tracy, I just had my implants removed and a full capsulectomy. No lift. I did not have any muscle damage that I can tell. I would have to agree with Lunabelle, my breasts feel warm and very soft. It is a wonderful feeling. It took getting used to the difference in the way they felt for a couple of months. Now I love to have them touched again instead of cringing like I used to. Believe me, I wish I had never gone down the breast augmentation road too. Good luck :)

same story...but I still have to remove them (I have a consult 13 Aug. I have noticed that you had a capselectomy... So : NO local anesth. My implants are under the musscle so the capsel can be stuck to my ribs. There can be a lot of blood. I also need drains afterwords. What is your experience after the churgion? Did you have a lot of pain? Drains? Recup after : how many days, weeks? Thank you so much for a short answer. Ilse from Belgium

I love your results, I can only hope mine are similar! I was 34D after implant, grew to 34DD after second child. Wanted to be a C up, so being a DD 5 years later was just unbearable. I am 1 day post explant, feeling great so far. Can I ask what cup size you are now? Congrats again! I hope I have the same beautiful shape that you do. That is very close to my pre-surgery shape.

Thank you for the compliment! I am feeling very good these days. I will post my one year update next month. It is unbelievable to me that it has almost been a year now! Having my implants removed was life changing. I am a 32 or 34 B cup now, depending on the bra. I was the same size before implants that I am now, but when I look at pre surgery pics, I look fuller and a little larger now I think. Congrats on your surgery! I hope that you heal well and have great results :) Remember to wear lots of compression.

Natural is so much better. I happen to like small breasts because I have natural big breasts (DD). I have always but them but too old now to worry about it.

hola! Yo hace cuatro meses me explante. Me diagnosticaron fibromialgia a los años de operarme. Todavia no estoy bien, pero tengo fe de que puedo mejorar. Tu cirujano te dijo que se puede tardar un año en mejorar. Te felicito han que dado muy bien!

oh my gosh! All these stories give me so much hope! I feel like an elderly lady, I live on a heating pad, sick all the time and crochet now because it's about all I can do! I can't wait to do yoga again! YOU look great and very similar to my very small "pre implant " boobs and if I do say so myself, they look even better now so maybe "some " stretching and natural growth with age makes the breasts look pretty good after explanting. I was wanting to take them out years and years ago and was given the horror story of deflated sacks on my breast and advised just to replace.

Almost four months implant free!

I am at almost 4 months now since my surgery, and I am adding new pics of my progress so far. I will never regret having my implants removed and am seeing new improvements every week! I know at this point I will not be getting a lift, and I feel like my breasts have really filled in the last few months. Having my implants removed was the best health decision I could of made for myself :)

Tiff, you look amazing! I definitely don't think you need a lift at all. You mentioned that most of your prior health issues had resolved....4 months later where are you at with that? Have you seen any more improvement in your health since explant? I'm getting mine out in a couple of weeks and hoping that things will get better health wise. Doctors have been very discouraging in that regard....saying that explanting will not help my autoimmune issues. I just have to stay positive. Regardless, I know i'm doing the right things by getting these things taken out.

Fixit225, I think that doctors will always say that it wont help to have your implants removed. Since having mine removed, the best thing I have noticed is I sleep like a baby! I have had insomnia for the last 15 years, where I would fall to sleep fine, but wake up at 2 am and never really fall asleep again. I never related that to my implants but I guess it was! My hands and feet don't ache any more. I haven't had my thyroid or adrenals tested since explant, but I feel they are functioning better due to the fact that I have lost weight easily since surgery, my energy is up, and I don't feel heart palpitations any longer. I still am dealing with dizziness and some tension headaches. I am pretty sure at this point that these are allergy related (which could still be implant related), because these symptoms get worse with seasonal changes. I am really feeling much better since having surgery though, and I think will just have more improvement as time goes on :)
October 22, 2013
By the way, good luck with your upcoming surgery and definitely stay positive! I am sure you will see improvement after. :)

This is encouraging. I was suppose to have my adrenals retested this month....but I am going to wait post explant to get all that checked again. My thyroid appeared fine at last check, but I have all the symptoms of thyroid problems. I also have sleep and heart palpitation issues so it would be great to get relief of some of these things. Thanks for your reply.
October 25, 2013
Thanks for your story. I had mine out three weeks ago and doing great. have had pain in my left one still but doctor said I'm ok. I too have had thyroid problems and heart palpitations. hoping having these removed will help in those areas. The doctors deffinitely will not tell you the implants cause anything, but mine were in so long (23 years) that I am convinced they were affecting my health. I'm so glad to have them out. You give me hope. You look amazing!
October 26, 2013
Thank you so much meg1970! I am happy to hear you are doing well at three weeks post. I hope your thyroid issues and palpitations get better. I need to have my thyroid re tested soon, but I already can tell it is functioning better from the improvements I feel. From what I have read, it is not a matter of IF implants will cause health issues, it is a matter of WHEN. I don't believe the docs who say they don't cause problems at all. Happy healing :)

You are going to feel even better as time goes by! Mine don't look nearly as perfect, but I was so ill, that I don't care. They were ruptured and I had them in for nearly 20 years. When you feel amazing, you will shine! I wish you all the best~

Thank you so much for your comments dmarierose! I feel amazing now and am so happy to not have implants anymore. I love my natural self and am feeling my health and self confidence have improved so much in the last 5 months! I hope you are getting back all of your health since your surgery :)
October 30, 2013
Honestly, you look so much better without implants! Not just better but perfect. Congratulations. I hope mine look 1/2 as good when out.
October 30, 2013
Thank you so much 2bnatural! I really feel so much better without implants, and when I look at my pics with them, I don't like the way they looked any more. I wish I would of removed them years ago! I look forward to following your progress after removal. Good luck :)
