Comfy Bra
CJ SunshineNovember 13, 2017
This is a bra I’ve been wearing for years and find it to be pretty comfortable. It comes in s,m, l sizing and is really stretchy so I’ve been able to wear it since having my implants removed. I do sometimes add the privacy pads to help take up a little space and to make it compress a little more. It’s made by Bali and I usually find these at Kohl’s but I know I’ve seen them at other stores.

My sandpaper rash is almost totally gone and the redness from the steri-strips continues to improve. I’ve lost a little more volume but am hopeful things will fluff up a bit down the road. The left side has less volume and a dent in the top portion where there is a very faint bruise. I’m assuming this is the side that had more capsule tissue removed since it always felt a little tighter. My doctor said he removed some capsule material to “soften things” a bit. All in all I’m very happy and feel so good to have those implants gone for good. I’ve been using a form-fitting stretch bra mostly because the sports bras have been very uncomfortable. I’m still wearing a T-shirt or tank under the bra for comfort since the incisions are still tender. I’ve decided to start a list of the reasons I’m happy with my decision and invite anyone to add to it so here’s the start:
1. My breasts are warm again
2. I can put my shoulders back where they belong (I need to practice this)
3. I look lighter
4. I will be able to hug with gusto
5. I can wear shirts without fear of looking “booby”
6. I will be able to do my workouts without looking like I have flex-boobs
7. Mammograms should be easier
8. I don’t feel anything hanging on my chest wall anymore
9. My nipples no longer point to the floor (this has been great!)
10. I’m hoping to regain some sensitivity back in my breasts-time will tell

Is all of the red rash just your skin's reaction to latex? (Just trying to brace myself for my implant removal.)
January 6, 2018
Hi! Yes, I think it was all due to the latex & whatever solution they used to disinfect my skin. The rash from the solution went away quicker than the redness & itching from the tape. That took awhile to clear up but it quit itching before it actually went away completely. It was discolored for a long time. When do you go for your removal?

I have not scheduled a date yet. Life always seems so busy that I have worried about the down time. I am planning for this summer 2018 but also want to see a couple more doctors.

I’m sure you’ll choose the right doctor and there’s no reason to rush. It’s funny, once you decide & set a surgery date it’s hard to wait! Keep reading posts and comments, it will really help :-)
