5 weeks

So... things are still looking pretty crooked. The left side has dropped beautifully. The right side is being stubborn. I saw my surgeon last week. If the right doesn't drop in the next 6 weeks he's going to fix it for me. Until then I'm doing my massages on the right 4+ times a day, and wearing my wireless bra with a tight left strap and a loose right strap. I'm really hoping that I won't need a revision surgery, but I am happy that my surgeon is taking care of me so well.

There's rarely pain now. Sometimes I'm sore after a long day chasing after a toddler, but nothing too uncomfortable. I have a hard time pushing or pulling still, but I can lift things pretty easily. I'm still not allowed to work out my upper body, so I'm just focusing on lower body and abs for now. Jumping and cardio is a little weird now, but a tighter sports bra is helping. I feel very out of shape from the 5 week break.

2 weeks post op

Things are looking a lot better. The right breast is still sitting really high, but it's improving. I'm doing my massages 4x a day to help it drop. My left breast is still very numb, the right breast is not. Pain wise, things are good. I take Tylenol if needed, but it's not needed often. I get really tight if I try to do too much during the day. I'm able to lift my toddler (carefully) when I need to, but I try to avoid it as much as possible. They don't seem nearly as big now. I'm very thankful for that. I was really regretful at first, but once the swelling went away, they were what I expected.

Day 8 post op

I'm starting to feel much better now. I'm taking Tylenol for pain when needed. I'm still sleeping on my back slightly elevated. My husband went back to work yesterday, so I've been taking care of my 17 month old alone. Yesterday was tough. I had to lift him too many times, and I was in a ton of pain by the end of the day. Today is going better so far. My right breast is sitting higher than the left. My ps gave me some massages to do 4x a day to help it catch up with my left. I sure hope it works, because they are not fun. They are letting me wear a soft cup wireless bra during the day and a supportive sleep bra at night. I have to wear the right strap loose and the left strap tight until the right side drops more.

Wait times

Dr Smith is amazing. He took the time to go over every single thing regarding my BA. I knew when I finished the consult he was the perfect fit for me. His staff is all very polite and caring. Truly a great choice. The only downfall was the wait times for appointments and the surgery itself. I ended up going in 4 hours later than expected for my surgery. I understand that things don't always go as planned, and the most important part is him taking the time to get everyone the best possible outcome. The wait times were worth it in the end, to have such an amazing doctor and staff.
