I had consults with 3 other doctors. Once I met Dr. Richards & the staff, I scheduled the surgery date right then & there. I KNEW he was the perfect doctor for me. He & his nurses made me feel soooo comfortable (even while being naked hahaha). He is NEVER in a rush, ALWAYS smiling, makes sure to answer all your questions, made me feel so safe & confident in the procedure. He is not looking to get every nickel & dime out of you like some other doctors which made me feel like he really truly does care about every single patient. I am definitely going to go back to him for my next procedure. He is my doctor for life! I just saw him today for my 1 week post op & will see him again next week. Kerry & Kathy there are stupendous as well! If you are thinking about having a procedure done, do yourself a favor & book a consult with Dr. Richards & meet him yourself. Oh, & while they were prepping me for surgery, he introduced himself to my hubby & and explained things to him & answered all his questions & gave my hubby his personal cell phone number! What kind of doctor gives out his personal cell phone number anymore these days? Only the truly caring kind! I called him about something at 4 am and he sounded just as happy & kind as he always does. He even texted me several hours later to check back on me. Anyone can contact me anytime through realself if you want to know more about my experience with Dr. Richards.

My surgery is scheduled for Dec 11th for a tt and lipo. Any tips on what to make sure to have on hand at home after. Thanks for any info

The biggest help was my hubby who took a few days off from work to take care of me. I'm a big whimp so I was taking pain meds the first few days. Another thing that I was thankful for was the recliner my doctor sent over. It's the kind that tips you out so I didn't have to use my ab muscles to get up. My skin got so irritated & itched like crazy from taping the gauze on to myself so my hubby picked up some self adhering tape (sticks to itself) so no tape came in contact with my skin after that. But just the first few days of using the first aid tape has left marks on my skin which is still easily visible now even 1.5 months post op. My skin is not easily irritated & i've used first aid tape before without irritation, but i guess i've never had tape on 24 hours a day before so i didn't expect the irritation. Oh, and my anti nausea pills were a must while taking my pain meds. That's all I can think of at the moment.

Good luck & best wishes on your upcoming surgery! So exciting! You'll be so glad you did it!

Thank you so much. I'm really nervous. Just filled my prescriptions today. I am picking up a recliner next week. I am so glad my husband will be home too, 3 weeks too.
December 2, 2015
Oh, & I had a big wedge pillow to elevate my legs so it didn't stretch my incision when lying down in the bed. I only had the recliner for 1 week cause it was a rental. It was a great help, but I was also happy to move to a real bed. & I had a chair in the shower cause it was exhausting taking a shower without it.

How much did he charge for a tummy tuck?
January 16, 2016
$6200 which included all fees, postop visits, compression garment & they even had a special recliner delivered to my house for the first week which really helped! I actually had second thoughts about spending the money, but it has boosted my self confidence so much, I feel like a different person now. Best money I ever spent! You should at least meet with him & see how comfortable you feel. I already have a second procedure booked with him!

Hi
My name is Doris and I also live here in Las Vegas. I am having a tummy tuck with Dr Richards on Feb 22, 2016. I am so nervous even though Dr Richards has shown me how caring he is. I texted him with questions on New Year's Day and he took time to text and answer all my questions that same day. I was just amazed. That's what you call caring doctor. I just want to know how your surgery went and how bad was recovery? Was it as painful as everyone tells me? Thank you for your help. Doris. Email: doris7120@cox.com

I'm thankful for the pain meds. On a pain tolerance scale of 1-10, I'm a 1. A big whimp. I used my pain neds, anti nausea & a wedge pillow to really get me through it. Despite it all, I would do it again. Without a second thought. Showering was exhausting too. I had a chair in my shower to help.

boob job in less than 2 weeks!

I'm 42, 5'1" & 139 lbs. Had my pre-op on monday & paid the fee. Eeeks! I guess that means I'm actually going to do it? Never thought I would & it's still hard to believe the date is coming so quickly! I had 3 kids so boobs are deflated, saggy, loose skin & nips are a bit low. I'm not getting a lift yet. Hopefully the implants will fill me up enough, but if not, I will get the lift later with the next tax refund. Lol. I'm going with 500cc. High profile or mod plus will be decided at surgery. My friend is starting to scare me cause she said today that she heard a lot of people lose arousal feeling in breast/nipples for good. I told her it's temporary but she insists it's forever?? These are before pics...

He left u with dog ears?
May 26, 2016
Dog ears are very common in tt's. It doesn't happen to every patient, but does happen with every doctor in some cases. But no, he doesn't leave them. He eliminates them if they occur. He is a very skilled & caring surgeon who's aftercare doesn't just end with your last post op appointment. I know if I ever have any questions or concerns, I can reach out to him & he will always be accessible.

Ok I see. I'm considering a tummy tuck just very picky when it comes to it. Do u have lipo as well or just a tummy tuck?
User Avatar

I like how low and how nice of the line ur incision is. Most dr I've seen just cut u like whatever or in a straight line and dnt care how low ur incision will look

Sorry just saw u mentioned u had lipo as well
May 27, 2016
Don't be sorry. U can ask me anything & it's fine. It's scary picking a doctor cause u can't just do it over & over if it doesn't come out right. But no, he doesn't just cut u wherever like some others. He makes sure the incision is as low & thin as possible so ur panty or bikini will cover it. If u have a consult with him I'm sure u will love him & feel much more at ease about the procedure. I never imagined before how much it would change my life!
May 27, 2016
Oh, & yes I had lipo on my flanks at the same time I had my tummy tuck. But don't worry about dog ears. Not everyone gets them since everyone is different. And if u do, he gets rid of them. I feel very very lucky that I found a great doctor him. I even got a boob job done by him just 2 months ago & honestly, it came out better than I expected!

When r u thinking of getting ur tt done? I thought u were looking for a bbl? I'm thinking about getting a bbl done too. My butt is starting to merge with my thighs.
June 22, 2016
Hello. I need some advise. I have had my consult with dr R and he was great. I've scheduled my breast and TT for December!! Ahhhh. But I am nervous about the tummy tuck. I am nervous about the healing, pain, scar and if it's worth it. I've had 2 kids and I'm fit (123 lbs and 5'5) but when I bend over I have extra skin that bothers me. How do you feel about your scar? Was the recovery as bad as you thought? Thank you for any insights. So nervous about messing up my body haha.
June 22, 2016
My scar is definitely worth the trade. I was worse off than u though, I had an actual flap of fat & skin even standing upright. But if it bothers u enough to want a tt, go for it. The pain is only temporary. I consider myself the biggest wimp ever when it comes to pain. But with pain killers, I can do anything lol. I found it difficult to get out of bed the first couple weeks, but u get the hang of moving while minimizing ur discomfort. Showering was difficult so my hubby got me a chair to sit on in the shower. I knew I would be happier once I got the tt done, but it has seriously changed my life so much that I never would have imagined I would ever say that! I feel so much better everyday, there isn't a day that goes by that I look in the mirror & am so thankful for my second chance at looking how I should. The boob job is also something I am so happy with. I just wish I did this years ago. The recovery is such a small price to pay for how happy I am now & how confident I feel about myself. Don't be nervous, I mean, of course u can't help it, but dr r is an amaaaazing doctor & u are in the best hands possible. If there is something u don't need to have done, he will tell u. I hope I didn't bore u, I could go on & on with this. There really isn't enough I can say about it, cause I'm still so happy & thankful for it all! I'm excited for u!! What size & kind of implants r u going with & what size r u currently?
June 22, 2016
Thank you so much for that. I am so thankful for your insight. Right now, when I stand up straight, you can't even tell I have extra skin, my stomach is flat but my bellybutton is a little droopy from being pregnant twice. When I bend over you can grab a handful of skin and that part bothers me. It's a very hard choice, because I would love to have my old belly button back and the skin gone so you can see how hard I work on my abs. Because right now, my abs are covered with a layer of extra skin. The doctor did say I am a candidate for a Tummy tuck. I just don't know if it's worth it for me in the end. How do you feel about the location of your scar? I wear some low-cut bikinis and I wonder if he can make it that low. Right now, the trade off isn't 100% worth it. But it's about 70% worth it. I guess that's why I'm struggling. Should I just do it and be completely happy or love what I have to keep working out. SOOOOOO CONFLICTED!! I am currently a 34 A. But when I breastfed I was a D or bigger. I breastfed twice so all I have no is skin. I was thinking of doing 450 or 475cc high profile. But I don't want to look unproportional. My hips are narrower at 36 inches and my bust at 34 inches. I don't want it to be obvious I have a boob job. What are your thoughts on that size? Thoughts on the difference between moderate plus and high profile? Thank you so much again
June 22, 2016
He can make the scar really low so it won't show when u wear bikinis. And he will fix ur bellybutton too. Ur stomach will look like before u had kids & all ur hard work on ur abs will show. I think if u have the money, u will be very happy u did it because u will never think about that extra skin or ur bellybutton drooping ever again. I was a b cup and was going to do moderate plus, but ended up going with 500cc high profile textured. I didn't want circus boobies, so I was really worried about the size. I thought even 500cc might be too big, but now I wish I went with just a tiny big bigger. I am currently wearing a DD bra. I would have freaked out if someone told me I would be wearing a DD after ba cause it sounds big, but it's actually not as big as it sounds. I wanted the high profile instead of mod plus cause of the projection difference & I'm so glad I did. Plus, the high profile is narrower than the mod plus. I think ur going to be super hot when all is said & done.

Hi I just had a tt by DR. R himself, I'm super happy I'm almost 2 weeks post op, how did u do with your swelling? Mines going crazy up and down, I want a Brest lift as well and bbl,lol how much are u paying for your breast? I want no implant just a lift? And how long ago did u get your tt that your already doing another awesome change?
April 12, 2016
I had my tt in oct. So 6 months ago. It took a while for the swelling to completely go away but I just kept wearing my compression garments & once the one he gave me didn't feel snug enough, I bought some online & wore those for most of the day up until a couple of months ago. I paid $4900 for silicone & I'm 2 weeks post op now. I didn't want to go too big...I started at a saggy b cup. I just wanted enough fill so they could stand up by themselves. Lol dr richards suggested I wait on the lift to see if I would be happy enough with the implants since the scar for a full lift is very visible vs the scar for the implants. The recovery for me personally for the implants so far is a breeze & both my hubby & I love love love the results. I'm actually going in today to get my dog ears fixed. So excited for that!! Im thinking about getting a tattoo to cover my tt scar. How is your discomfort? I would love a bbl too but my hubby might freak if I tell him I want a 3rd procedure done. Gotta ease him into the idea lol...

Omg how exciting and the price is amazing, he is so well priced and for the amazing work he does I so love that about him. I'm doing much better I'm driving and all, just not lifting, I have a 18month baby and she cries for me to pick her up I feel horrible, but I have to take it easy, I wear two garmets to keep me tite, and like you said he's get loose after a while so I'm thinking of buying a new and smaller one, I'm happy he took all my stretch marks, so happy,I think for sure next a bbl I wonder how much that would cost? The doggie ears are what happens with the tummy tuck right? I think I might have that after, I wonder if u can tell me by the pictures I've posted. Well u look amazing and if the hubby and u love it, [RS bleep] life is good
April 12, 2016
His prices are amazing! He could've easily sold me on the lift at the same time he did the implants, but he didn't. He saved me so much money by being an honest doctor! Hmmm...hard to tell by the pics about the dog ears. But in my pics you can see the larger one easily on my left side sticking out & I have a tiny one on my right. I think u can tell more once swelling goes away completely. I think thats why he waits 6 months to fix them. That's awesome ur stretch marks are all gone! I have a bunch on my hips & butt especially! & ur right, life is good! Lol We are lucky we both got great results! But omg...the new clothes, new hair, eyelashes, nails & shoes I've been buying cause I feel so much better about myself is the part that's going to make me go broke! Lol
User Avatar
April 13, 2016
Yes I'm so happy and you look amazing yourself too, going broke? I went to go get my hair done yesterday I feel so much better, I just want to get active already lol, sorry to ask u but how do u know when it's safe to have intercourse
April 13, 2016
Lol I wondered the same thing. I think I'm more of a hornball than my hubby is. Lol... but i also had a hysterectomy 2 weeks before my tt though, so i had to wait another 4 weeks until my obgyn gave me clearance ftom the hysterectomy to have sex. I asked dr r about it & he told me as long as u wait until there isn't any more discomfort & until the incision is healed then you can start gently from there. I just told my hubby to be careful & not get freaky. It's so much more enjoyable without the belly flap. Hahaha

Lol omg I love you haha, your so straight up just like me, I haven't asked dr. R I'll see him on the 26th but hell yea with nothing hanging there I bet it's much better :-)

I was revisiting my realself post & saw your last pic. U look really good! Did u ever ask Dr r about the bbl cost? I'm thinking about it more & more now.

I actually haven't, I need to go to my 3 month post op, I'm feeling great super happy, I haven't updated and u need too, I want o loose more weight but I'm so happy! How r u?
August 6, 2016
I'm doing the same. Super happy & still so thankful to be rid of the flap, but still trying to lose more weight. But with a bbl I'm hoping to get some fat sucked out from my "fluffy" areas. Maybe I'll go in for a consult in the next couple months.
