Invisalign Was Totally Worth It! Wish I Had Done It Sooner - Las Vegas, NV

WORTH IT$5,000
My top teeth were straightened out within 6 months, and my bottom ones (which were much worse) were straightened within a year. Very easy, and never had to have braces. However, be careful when you take out the trays if you put them in a napkin while you're eating. I had to fish them out of the garbage can at a restaurant once! Also, you must keep wearing them at night as a retainer to keep your teeth from shifting back. If I forget to put them in for a few days, it definitely hurts when I put them in and I can see that my teeth are already trying to shift back.

Did your doctor not give you retainers afterward?  I mean, are you still using your actual aligners as retainers?

No, the doctor instructed us to use the last tray as retainers, which work fine.

I take it you didn't have any attachments, then?

Thank you! I actually got my Invisalign from Nevada Orthodonics, however, I DO NOT recommend going to them. I was very disappointed with them many times, they kept changing doctors on me and they weren't very gentle, and were incompetent when scheduling appointments. With that said, I love my new dentist in Las Vegas, Dr. Scott Miller on W. Sahara. I've been going to him for years and he also does Invisalign, and I couldn't recommend his office more.

I chose not to have attachments. They recommended them on a couple teeth, but I opted out and have been fine with my decision.

Hey, if it worked, that's cool. I do worry however, about using the first nail tray as your retainers. They aren't meant to last longer than a few weeks. They do crack, become yellow and brittle and are not as strong as vivera retainers or dentist made ones. Remember, you have to wear your retainers for life. You don't want your teeth to shift due to improper retainers. I highly suggest you get a second opinion regarding this. Have great holiday season.

We (my husband as well) have been using our final Invisalign trays as retainers for 5 years with no problems at all, no cracks or damage and we regularly clean them. They have never been damaged and have held up fine. I am now going to a new dentist, who also specializes in Invisalign as well, and he knows our situation and has also been very happy with the results. Happy Holidays to you too!

That's awesome, had I known this sooner I would have saved myself some cash, lol.
