My consultation with Dr. Richards was a lot of fun. He seems to be very knowledgeable and passionate about his work. I feared that I would walk into another Dr. Not listening to my expectations and lifestyle. But he was awesome. He actively listened and asked tons of questions, making sure we were on the same page. Since my consultation he has answered my email questions promptly, and very throughly. Although I'm paying a reasonable price, my decision wasn't based on price. I made it based on who I felt the most comfortable with, and who listened and took true interest in what I was wanting for a result. In short, he seemed to get me, and as a bodybuilder this rare with the medical community. Pre-op scheduled 1-7-15, surgery 1-12-15.
I will post before and afters soon.

About me, I'm 35. I have one child breast fed. She is now 4. I was fortunate to not have any deflation, stretch marks or sagging after having a child. But that's mostly because I've never had much breast tissue. I'm currently a 36aa. Im very active as a personal trainer, and lifting heavy weights. Hoping to be on a body building stage next November competing NPC Physique. My weight is around 160, but having a lot of muscle mass changes my size from the normal women. I wear a size 29/6-8 pant and small to med tops. Chest 33, waist 29, hips 41. I'm off season, meaning chubby, but you can still see I have muscle. Measured at 20% body fat this week, gained 12 lbs over the holidays! Whoops. Didn't expect that number at the Dr. Office today. (follow up for acne meds) I would usually freak out, but can't do much now but eat clean through surgery and recovery, and bust butt when my body is ready.

In preparation for this surgery I have not done any direct chest exercise in 10 weeks. This was recommended to my from another PS, who I didn't connect with, but it seemed like sound advice. If I can bench 200 lbs my muscles are very tight and very thick. If you go under you don't want the muscle in a state of repair from exercise. You body needs to focus on the surgery healing. My chest muscles haven't changed too much size, but I do feel a lot more flexible. Which I expect will make it easier on the surgeon.
I'm choosing to go under the muscle, knowing that their will be some animation while lifting, however my chest animates now when I lift. If you have muscle, it moves when you lift, it's silly to think it won't. I want the look of a high profile implant to balence my body, I def have the legs and squat booty to match. I measure 13.5, and the Mentor memory gel 550 is a perfect fit. I've never had boobs, even while breast feeding I was barely a B cup. So I'm not concerned about people knowing, it is going to be obvious, and I own my decisions.

My expectation is a 36 D to DD cup and for a rounder less matronly look. I have thick Pecs, I expect Pain. And have been warned by more than one friend that it's intense for muscular girls. I've opted for Exparel to take the edge off the pain for the first few days. I hate narcotics, I halucinate on them. They mess with my head, more than killing pain. I'm hoping to make it by with the Exparel, muscle relaxers and Tylenol.

I've been thinking about and planning this surgery for almost 10 years. I'm so excited and nervous! First time being cut open, first time under. But confident things will go well!

I am about the same height but do not have your definition :) I had HP 550 ish, I was a bit uneven so to even me out I have 600 in one side. Anyway, you can take a look at my pics. They are a good size but I do have animation and dropped a bit too far. When I started working out my chest, not nearly to the degree that you do, they dropped and now if I want my nipple to be centered I would need to do a revision and bring them up about an inch. I am okay with them for now but will likely need a revision sooner than later. Good luck on your surgery and recovery! The hardest part is laying about for a while.

Thank you. Ugh ya laying around it not my style. 10 days down 20 to go. Gonna get harder once I'm out of pain. I hope you find a resolution for your BA. We just don't know how our skin or muscles are going to react. My Dr. Was deliberate on how he created my pocket, knowing I spend so much time in the gym. The extra areas where he released the muscle hurts, like no pain I've ever had. But shouldn't animate to much, and I have better cleavage.

Fellow bodybuilder! Let me know how you get on with training with unders! My doc is suggesting overs but I much prefer the look of unders providing i'm able to train alright with them! Not sure I could handle 3+ months of no upper body workouts as has been suggested before by others. I'm curious to see how long it takes before you're able to lift again :)

I'll let you know how I feel in about 10 days. I should be cleared to workout at 4 weeks. From the looks of things, I'm happy I went under. But I'll keep you updated!

I'm glad you're happy with them :) Happy recovery x

Hey I thought I'd update you. I'm 2 months out. Back to normal training, just no direct chest training. I'll start on my chest once everything is stretched out, dropped and in it's final position. Thick pecs take more time. Most are 3 months, we are looking at 6. And possibly up to 12 for the final results. Even at 2 they are a little high. But look sexy, and are getting softer by the day. But I don't know how real boobs should feel!

That's great :D

Hi there! Stumbled on your profile and wanted to say you look great! I started lifting about 6 months ago and love it! However, the little breast tissue I had to begin with is totally gone now haha! I just scheduled my surgery for April 16 and my PS suggested under the muscle due to the lack of breast tissue I have currently. I've been really nervous about my recovery and getting back into the gym. I'd love to hear about your recovery and resuming training!

I'm 2 months out. I've resumed all if my training except direct chest work. No chest press, flys or dips. I'm back to normal. Gained a few lbs during recovery, but nothing crazy. Honestly for me. I didn't feel anything close to normal for 6 weeks. I tried to resume working out at 5 weeks. But I had serious fatigue, very unusual for me. So I just waited another 2 weeks until I felt really good. From what I've read Mu experience wasn't the norm. And I would do it again. I'm very happy with the balance of my body now.

I just had my augmentation and am day 3 post op 330cc medium profile dual plane. I am a figure competitor and plane to be stage ready for september. Coming off a very successful year last year. The pressure is on to prove myself once again, let me know how u go back in the gym are using mostly pin loaded to avoid lifting plates?
April 1, 2015
My gym is bare bones. The only cable machine we have is a cable crossover set. Lifting plates hasn't caused any issues for me so far. I have used bands more than in the past to supplement my workouts and increase the volume. Since my strength did take a huge dip. Good luck for September! Don't get discouraged!

In about 3 hours I'll be getting ready for surgery. Little nervous, but I know I'm in good hands! I'll go back to the hotel in an ace bandage tonight. So I won't get to see the new boobies until tomorrow! Will post picture when I can.
