My consultation with Dr. Richards was a lot of fun. He seems to be very knowledgeable and passionate about his work. I feared that I would walk into another Dr. Not listening to my expectations and lifestyle. But he was awesome. He actively listened and asked tons of questions, making sure we were on the same page. Since my consultation he has answered my email questions promptly, and very throughly. Although I'm paying a reasonable price, my decision wasn't based on price. I made it based on who I felt the most comfortable with, and who listened and took true interest in what I was wanting for a result. In short, he seemed to get me, and as a bodybuilder this rare with the medical community. Pre-op scheduled 1-7-15, surgery 1-12-15.
I will post before and afters soon.
About me, I'm 35. I have one child breast fed. She is now 4. I was fortunate to not have any deflation, stretch marks or sagging after having a child. But that's mostly because I've never had much breast tissue. I'm currently a 36aa. Im very active as a personal trainer, and lifting heavy weights. Hoping to be on a body building stage next November competing NPC Physique. My weight is around 160, but having a lot of muscle mass changes my size from the normal women. I wear a size 29/6-8 pant and small to med tops. Chest 33, waist 29, hips 41. I'm off season, meaning chubby, but you can still see I have muscle. Measured at 20% body fat this week, gained 12 lbs over the holidays! Whoops. Didn't expect that number at the Dr. Office today. (follow up for acne meds) I would usually freak out, but can't do much now but eat clean through surgery and recovery, and bust butt when my body is ready.
In preparation for this surgery I have not done any direct chest exercise in 10 weeks. This was recommended to my from another PS, who I didn't connect with, but it seemed like sound advice. If I can bench 200 lbs my muscles are very tight and very thick. If you go under you don't want the muscle in a state of repair from exercise. You body needs to focus on the surgery healing. My chest muscles haven't changed too much size, but I do feel a lot more flexible. Which I expect will make it easier on the surgeon.
I'm choosing to go under the muscle, knowing that their will be some animation while lifting, however my chest animates now when I lift. If you have muscle, it moves when you lift, it's silly to think it won't. I want the look of a high profile implant to balence my body, I def have the legs and squat booty to match. I measure 13.5, and the Mentor memory gel 550 is a perfect fit. I've never had boobs, even while breast feeding I was barely a B cup. So I'm not concerned about people knowing, it is going to be obvious, and I own my decisions.
My expectation is a 36 D to DD cup and for a rounder less matronly look. I have thick Pecs, I expect Pain. And have been warned by more than one friend that it's intense for muscular girls. I've opted for Exparel to take the edge off the pain for the first few days. I hate narcotics, I halucinate on them. They mess with my head, more than killing pain. I'm hoping to make it by with the Exparel, muscle relaxers and Tylenol.
I've been thinking about and planning this surgery for almost 10 years. I'm so excited and nervous! First time being cut open, first time under. But confident things will go well!

In about 3 hours I'll be getting ready for surgery. Little nervous, but I know I'm in good hands! I'll go back to the hotel in an ace bandage tonight. So I won't get to see the new boobies until tomorrow! Will post picture when I can.
